A team just dropped out of the Challenge, so we have a one-game opening on Dec. 27 at Heritage High School.

12 p.m.: Heritage vs. Amador Valley

1:30 p.m.: Rincon Valley Christian vs. Buhach Colony

3 p.m.: St. Mary’s (Stockton) vs. East (UT)

4:30 p.m.: Clovis West vs. Prairie (WA)

6:30 p.m.: Woodside Priory

8 p.m.: Arcata vs. Sacred Heart Cathedral


At Cornerstone Christian


1:30 p.m.: Northgate vs. Burbank

3 p.m.: Dougherty vs. Middletown

4:30 p.m.: Buhach Colony vs. Rincon Valley Christian

6:30 p.m.: Abbotsford BC vs. Cheyenne NV

There are going to Iolani and will probably play LBP in the second round...
then I see them in the list of teams in the Nike TOC(the Joe Smith... where
coaches/teams get exposed)... so
No I am taking that bait....but Clay would know(seems he is taking the 5th)...seems the WCJ...lets teams/coaches choose the bracket they want so they could have
pulled a Miramonte/Brea....

Clovis West didn't have three games open for the Jamboree but did have one for the Challenge ... simple enough.

And yes, we let coaches choose the bracket they want, from Brea to Benicia to Berean Christian. That's why we have so many teams and why we're still around.

Jazz, if you'd like to force teams to play the games you want them to play, try organizing your own event, and see how that works out.

I told Jazz the same thing in a previous post, Clay. He/she/they (lets be PC here) only posts negative (most of the time) comments about how things should be instead of doing something about it. I"m surprised you still respond to his/her/theirs idiotic comments. You're a very tolerant person! How did Miramonte do at this weekends scrimmages?

We did reasonably well, I'd say. Both Alameda and St. Ignatius were missing players (injuries, ACT) so I don't know how fair a test it was, but we won both 20-minute running clock segments.

Castro Valley today at 4:30 at Miramonte ...

It's fun to be an assistant again ...

I many times enjoy your knowledge and insight on the game and don't mind hearing you knock grown folks(coaches) from time to time. But I think we all should try to positively encourage each and every child no matter the team or coach they play under.

No, you shouldn't tell everyone how great they are because the word is actually over used. There are very few "great" coaches or players. And we do need a variety of viewpoints even if there not always popular or valuable. People have to remember like voting, responding to comments is a privilege, not an obligation. Just as you have the right to vote or not vote, you can comment or ignore post and people you may disagree with.
