There's a nearby hoop we can still use. So getting shots in is doable. And there's always running a couple miles.

We've had a few group zooms with coaches that unfortunately weren't all that great (pro tip: instructors should mute everyone else and don't need to dribble during drills).

The thing that is missing is competition.

Play at the local park. 5 on 5 shouldnt be hard to do

Good lord. Does this individual live in the Bay Area? Is he or she unaware of what's going on? You have to wonder.
I've seen people playing soccer, softball and basketball still. I mean I still have to work and I just roll the dice I guess. I survived Smog and LA. This too shall pass.

Playing fortnite and eating Funyuns. That is what girls and boys are doing to stay sharp. This will pass but it will be awhile and continue to impact seasons in the near term. Summer? You think you have an aau Team traveling? Will there be tournaments? I don’t see it happening. Sports are really on back burner right now. A lot of jobs and businesses have been lost and will continue too.

The ONLY silver lining in this, is that kids actually get to rest their bodies. Kids these days play September-July and usually have August off (for the hardcore AAU players). 4-6 weeks off the entire year isn't good for the body and studies show that overuse leads to more serious injuries...so while I'd love to be watching some games, it's good that the kids get this time to heal their bodies. It's not like they can't get out and run, dribble in the drive way or work on form...you can do all that w/o a hoop..

i agree with this! It’s not all bad. i do feel bad for kids who missed an opportunity to get noticed.

Hopefully we'll see some kind of regional club competitions late in the summer. That would require places like the Ultimate Fieldhouse to open, but that's not completely out of the question. I think getting on an airplane and staying in a hotel will be bigger issues than playing a few games, but I could be wrong.

If we had our testing where it needed to be the girls could all get tested and start working together for starters. People could hang out and train with those that have either been tested or anti body test showed they "had" Covid-19 and cleared the virus. This lack of test capacity is really hurting us and making us look bad as a country. They say it's ramping up so hopefully it is.
