What the heck? I'd be interest to know the story behind that. Didn't get enough scholy first time around? St. Mary's has a great program, but it's not a P5 school, and besides being a great school Oregon seems to be on the cusp of turning things around.
There has been a high number of de-commitments recently. Lot of coaching changes, rethinking levels, new trend? Not sure of the reasons, but this isn't seen often in baseball
In a way it may be a positive development. In the past, coaches dissatisfied with recruit's progress were the only ones breaking verbal commitments. Maybe it's better for the kids if that works both ways.
