Battle for first place!

Campo is at 14-3 and 3-0, CVC 11-4 and 2-0.

Rankings have Campo at #8 in the section, CVC at #13. Obviously a really big game, even more so considering there is no home-and-home this season.

Anyway…. We’re coming up on freshman-game tipoff,

Finally, CVC’s #3 nails a 3 to fall, but takes a nasty fall as the Cougs try to get back downcourt. 49-44.

I think #3 cramped up, he’s back out there…

Hack and hope time for CVC…. Cougs #2 makes one of 2. 50-44…

CVC #4 goes to the rack, is fouled…. makes the 1st, makes the 2nd. 9.7 left, 50-46 Cougs.

Foul before the ball gets inbounds, Cougs #2 at the line. First rattles out…. he misses the 2nd but grabs his own rebound!

He’s fouled again…. First one good, same for the 2nd.

CVC scores a quick layup, but the Cougs let the clock run out…. 52-48 COUGS!

JV’s…. Don’t believe the Maxpreps records for Campo… the Cougs are 9-8, not 1-5.

Maxpreps has CVC at 9-6.

This game last year was one of the craziest ever…. Cougs were down by some 25-ish points during the 2nd quarter, but won by 31.
