This was a great game from start to finish. San Ramon lead at the end of every quarter except for the most important one of them all, the 4th. Ratinho & Peters played well at both ends but De La Salle took away San Ramon's aggressive style of play and made them work for every shot. San Ramon shot only 8 free throws the entire game, that was the difference. With little to no inside power game, Fucca & Smith can only carry you so far. Smith didn't get to the line and never really seems to step it up in big games and dominate. Fucca played well and is the heart and soul of this team and if everyone played as hard as he does, there would win this league hands down. Anything short of a league championship with this talent is a disappointment even though they have had a great year record wise.

Good recap Scout. Smith really favors the pull up jumper or floater in the lane or the 3-pointer, but never really drove to the basket to initiate contact or draw fouls. You could hear the SRV parents complaining to the refs when it was 8 to 1 in fouls, but DLS was forcing the issue and SRV not so much. Fuca played hard and was a big part of their lead over the first 3 quarters, but his shots just were not falling in the all important 4th quarter. Great game.
