The Bells led 2-0 after the first inning and 3-1 after two innings before the Spartans scored two runs in the third and the eventual winning run in the fourth. Kyle Harrison got the start for the Spartans and struck out seven hitters in four innings. Mason Carvacho and Carter Stevenson combined with Harrison on a no-hitter. Zeke Berry was the only Spartans' hitter with multiple hits. Sam Kim got the start for Bellarmine and went three innings. Bellarmine's other loss was to Foothill-Pleasanton.
Vacaville (1-0) beat Freedom (2-1) 4-2 at the Pittsburg tournament. Kenny Decelle went 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Vacaville, which jumped out with three first inning runs. Caleb Davis threw six strong innings in giving up three hits and two runs. Logan Piper gave up only a walk in the seventh for the save.
Acalanes (1-0) beat Amador Valley (0-2) 3-2 at the Pittsburg Tournament and will play Vacaville on Tuesday. Nick Kresnak tossed a complete game, three-hitter with nine strikeouts. Thatcher Hurd had two doubles and a RBI. The Dons scored all three runs in the top of the second while Amador Valley put up two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Amador Valley also has a loss to Freedom.
Turlock (1-1) beat Clovis North (7-1) 3-1 at the Cen Cal Showcase. In a pitching duel, Turlock junior Dom Rodriguez prevailed against Clovis North ace Riley Cooper. This completes a good showing for the Bulldogs to start the season.

Cardinal Newman started Gianni Cavallo, who went five innings of one hit ball with six strikeouts. The Mustangs have five total runs in losses to Casa Grande, Northgate and the Cardinals.
