The Matadors are 8-1 officially, but 7-2 on the field with a forfeit win over Antioch. They lost to San Ramon Valley (3-2) on Friday. Granada is 1-1 in the EBAL. Overall, it has given up 15 runs in nine games. After graduating its senior 1-2 punch on the mound with Payne and Olmo, Granada is leaning on senior Turner Hartley (4-1/0.77 ERA/9 BB/23 K/27.1 IP) and sophomore Roberto Chioino (3-0/0.00 ERA/14 BB/21 K/25.1 IP). It looks like Chioino will get the start today.Oregon signee Casey Soltis is hitting .387 with five extra base hits and eight RBI.

The Falcons are 7-1 overall and 1-1 in the EBAL. They have given Cal (4-3) its only loss, but had a seven game winning streak snapped on Friday against De La Salle (11-7). Seniors lead the way in the batting order with Ryan Anderson (.417/6 RBI) and Nate Hermes (.455/7 RBI). Senior Kyle Franco (2-0/1.64 ERA/7 BB/23 K/21.1 IP) is the top pitcher and will get the start today.

Foothill won 8-7. The Falcons led 5-2 after the first inning. Hermes and Sanderson each had two RBI for Foothill.
