On the UCLA signee, MLB.com wrote, "The local southpaw has a solid three-pitch mix, with a fastball that tops out at 93 mph, a good slider as his out pitch and a good changeup. His repertoire is tougher to hit because of a three-quarters arm slot in a deceptive delivery."
