Head Coach Bryan Rooney and the Cal Maritime men's basketball program are pleased to announce three exciting camps this summer. Fresh off the program's seventh conference championship in eight years, Coach Rooney and his staff look forward to a great summer of improvement and fun.
The first camp will be the Keelhauler Junior Varsity Team Camp, which will be held June 9th-June 11th. Junior Varsity teams will attend as a team and are guaranteed 4 games with a possibility of 6 games if the team advances to the championship. Teams will also be participating in a Buzzer Beater tournament to hone their late game execution. Cal Maritime's staff will be conducting skill sessions throughout the weekend. Cost for the weekend is $250 per team.
The second camp will be part of the Keelhauler Basketball Academy. The camp is open to boys and girls in 5th-8th grade and will run July 31st-August 3rd from 1pm-4pm daily. The camp is a great opportunity for motivated players to improve in an enthusiastic and competitive environment, which promotes fun. Campers will receive extensive individual instruction from the Cal Maritime staff and players as well as challenge themselves in team and individual competitions.
The final camp is also part of the Keelhauler Basketball Academy and is open to high school age boys. This session will also run from July 31st-August 3rd and will take place from 5pm-8pm each night. This camp will be limited to 15 campers as it will be conducted similar to Cal Maritime practice sessions and allow for maximum instruction and feedback. In addition to on the court action, campers will also receive presentations on the recruiting process, strength and conditioning, and academic readiness.
