Dear NorCalPreps Community,

It's time to take a closer look at the transfer policies affecting high school sports across the North Coast Section (NCS), Central Coast Section (CCS), Oakland Section, San Francisco Section, and San-Joaquin Section. These policies impact all our student-athletes, boys and girls alike, creating barriers that limit their ability to compete, grow, and achieve their full potential.

A United Effort for Change

The restrictive nature of these policies doesn't just affect individual athletes; it challenges the very essence of high school sports. Our goal is to ensure every student-athlete, regardless of their sport or background, has equitable opportunities to succeed and showcase their talents.

Your Stories Are Key

The power of personal experience cannot be overstated. Whether you've been directly impacted by these policies or have seen their effects on others, your story is a vital piece of the puzzle. By sharing your journey, you highlight the need for a more supportive and fair system for all.

How to Help

We're looking to gather experiences from across the board — missed opportunities, navigating complex rules, or any other challenges these policies have presented. Your insight is crucial in painting a comprehensive picture of how these rules affect our student-athletes on and off the field.

Let's unite our voices for a cause that matters. Share your experience, and let's work towards creating a more inclusive and fair environment for high school sports.

Share your story, and be part of the change we all wish to see.

The genie is out of the bottle guys. There is no way to put it back. The really sad part is that poor kids and families bear the brunt of the enforcement. The section goes after easy pickings (people who can't afford lawyers.) The section doesn't have the resources or the will to go after the real bad actors. It's akin to arresting the street dealer selling dime bags and claiming your making a difference. While the big guy keeps selling.

GUYS...In my thinking, there should be no transfer to any school, ea h student shoud go to the school you live in and wander to other schools due to the school has a name.. When that student gets transfered to another school, almost soon, that high school could or will become a power house and no other high school will be able to compeat with them. Little johnny can show his or her,s talent at the high school that you live in...This is not colleage school or pro football, where you go to school to meet new friends that live in your neighbor, but if you are a hard nose and can't get along with any body, then its time to correct the kid by the parents. Good example of what is takingplace is at Grant that has recieved a number of kids fromthe El grove school dist.
That has turned Grant into a power house and a number of high schools have been changed on how they win basket ball and fooitball games just by the transfer. The transfer hasbuilt a uneven field for many high schools to face...Thier are many talented kids out there that can show their stuff while living in the high school dist. you live in. And your effort can rub off to the kids at your local high school.
