Mike Rodriguez has stepped down at Bellarmine as he and his family relocate to Carlsbad. Here is an excerpt from the article:
It’s not an easy decision for Rodriguez and his wife, Gina, who in November of 2015 found out their daughter Sofia was diagnosed with leukemia.
Her final chemotherapy treatment took place on March 16, 2018.
“One of the things is when Sofia was going through treatment her happy place was the beach,” Rodriguez said. “So her thing is she wants to learn to surf, she wants to spend as much time at the beach as possible. So moving down to a place where our new home is going to be a mile and a half from the beach, we’re pretty excited.”
