Smart pick at 1 pointer! That's what I do sometimes when I see everyone picking big for the favorite. I would normally move my #10 pick to #1. But, can't because I'm a SM homer. LOL!

This game/pick reminds me of last year's SM vs Turlock game/pick when SM got upset by 1 point with Turlock converting on last two 2-pt conversions, SM failed FG, and Turlock intercepting SM to win the game. Gee, I hope it's not deja vu all over again. Good luck! ... NOT. More LOL! :p

Surprised there is such a consensus that Del Oro should beat Inderkum. Don't know how either squad is this year, but generally DO is a solid, physical program over the years, while Indy is an athletic, speedy, big play team generally speaking. Interesting matchup IMO

My analysis/pick for the DO vs Inderkum game is based on last year’s results for both Varsity and JV where DO beat Inderkum handily, along with DO returning their starting QB Caden Pinnick and leading WR 6’4” Tommy Poe. Scores of 35-8 for Varsity and 35-0 for JV were too much to ignore.

And with the coaching change at Indy weeks before the season starts, it was a no brainer for me to go with DO.

Didn't know DO had beaten Indy so soundly last year in both games. Makes a lot of sense now

Ugh, should’ve stayed with Tracy instead of switching to Kimball and moving this pick to the bottom (1 pointer). Congrats to Tracy in making the comeback and getting the W. Also, I had a gut feeling Oakdale would pull off the win as it’s hard to beat the Mustangs at home, but failed to go with my gut. Also, glad SM was able to pull off the WIN to keep my 10 pointer in tact. Indeed, sloppy play early on kept that scoreboard lower than potentially what could have been, as I expected. Anticipate next week’s pick’em is going to be tougher with some really good games on the schedule. I didn’t finish on top this week, but satisfied with my picks just the same.

Congrats to John Mellencamp (54) on finishing on top and to those in a three way tie for 2nd: FBAddict (52), SantaBall (52), and Cal14 (52) … unofficially, of course. Good job!

Strange feel at the Corral. First person I see as I walk in. New head coach's dad. Merzon up on the hill watching the game with binoculars. Very young Oakdale team. Starting 2 sophomore running backs. Just remember the name Wes Burford. For Oakdale a good athlete. Sophomore starting running back. In college I see him at LB. Medal winner at State wrestling an 182 as freshman.
