SHC Beats S.I.

Sacred Heart Cathedral defeated St. Ignatius at AT&T Park Saturday, 4-2.

S.I. scored single runs in the second and third innings and held their 2-0 lead until the bottom of the fourth when the Irish scored a single run. SHC loaded the bases later in the inning and Nikolas Schumann hit a three-run triple to give SHC a 4-2 lead.

Tyler Martinez took over pitching duties in the sixth, picking-off a runner at third base for the last out, then struck-out the side in the seventh to win it.

Hats off to SI but IMO SI didn't beat SF
SF beat SF
Terrible defense and each inning stranded many runners
Interesting to see how they rebound
Good game by both last Friday vs Serra and today will be a good challenge vs Bell
Bells are playing pretty good ball right now
