[Streak One]

There are some big series in the SJS this week to close out the regular season.

St. Mary's beat Lincoln-Stockton 2-0: Tanner Grove threw a four hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and Samuel Kahler had a home run for the Rams. Lincoln's Ray Olivas gave up two runs over 6.2 innings with eight strikeouts.

Whitney beat Oak Ridge 6-3: Jonathan Vavak had a walk off three run homer in the ninth inning to clinch the SFL title for the Wildcats. On the mound, Oak Ridge's Jake Fields gave up three runs over six innings and Whitney's Jace Gillmore gave up three runs over 6.2 innings.

Christian Brothers beat Vista del Lago 7-3: Christian Brothers stayed a game up in the Capital Athletic League as Dylan Drake went 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored., Dylan Messier threw a complete game, five hitter.

St. Mary's added another shutout win over Lincoln-Stockton (4-0) on Tuesday. Beckett Bo gave up seven hits over 6.1 innings and Samuel Kahler had three hits. Lincoln was able to get a win in the finale on Wednesday by the score of 6-2. Aden Bowman threw a complete game four hitter with seven strikeouts. Kyle Newport had two RBI for the Trojans.

Oak Ridge beat Whitney 5-1: Joe Carroll and Ryan Spero each had a double and Ethan Nepo gave up an unearned run over five innings to help the Trojans even the series.

Christian Brothers beat Vista del Lago 3-1: Nate Teeple had a home run and Josh Lewis had two RBI for Christian Brothers. Jack Soares struck out nine batters over six innings. Vista del Lago's Brian Kucserka gave up three runs and seven hits over six innings.

Christian Brothers beat Vista del Lago 7-3: Christian Brothers stayed a game up in the Capital Athletic League …

Under reported is the fact that CB and Rio each only have 3 on the field loses. Rio had to forfeit a game ( it had won on the field) vs Vista, due to pitcher going 3 pitches over his allotted pitch count. Rios HC was not present for that game, and I heard their AD was coaching. Looks like that snafu cost the Raiders a piece of the league title.
