UW Starting QB Cyler Miles retires

With 3 Norcal QB's waiting in the wings (Folsom's Jake Browning ,Bellermine's KJ Carta Samuels, and Brookside Christian and City College SF's Tony Rodriguez) Starter Cyler Miles is retiring due to a hip injury sustained in HS.

Nice to see he is committed to getting his degree. Nothing wrong with that. CCSF Rodriguez was a late signee but the kid can play and has excellent size and pedigree. Should be a tough race.

I hear that Carta Samuels is in the lead to be the starter. Him and Browning will battle out. Regardless it will be a nor cal qb starting which is a great thing!

The starting battle appears to between Jeff Lindquist (WA local) and KJ Carta-Samuels. Browning is clearly behind those two and appears headed for Redshirt which is why they brought Rodriquez in as veteran backups so they wouldnt have to burn a year with Browning.
