Does any know how Wood's rushing Defense is? Can they stop the Wing T & Triple Option? Wud like to hear more info-tia!

Woods D is really good..... Some plays, other plays not so good. They are very talented and fly to the ball. They have great speed but lack size at LB positions. They have been in a 4-3 mostly with some different looks here and there. They have been using some man coverage but also use some zone sort of confused looking or maybe shifting its not consistent. LBs are undersized with exception of 1 who is average. D-line is average at best with a glimpse of good, just not very often. Blitz 1 backer often and use backers to cover slot which is usually not in their favor. Bishop O, AC, and freedom all had decent success rushing against them. Bishop O's O-line dominated them as well as some good running, AC confused them with option, freedom just pounded them. The Wood scoring machine just can't be stopped so the lackluster D isn't too exposed. They look like a sand lot defense playing more on talent than fundamentals or disciplined scheme . They do have talent though no question about that. They also have many players going both ways so In a gut-out battle with a team like Napa they may get exposed. All those consistencies I still see Wood winning out and taking MEL. They will struggle to compete if they go D1 in post season. The best course would to have a loss in MEL and enter post season D2 then they will make a deep run. Napa's best chance is to play their game and win the turnover ratio, also praying for rain might not be a bad idea.

Wood will be in D2 no matter what. They are placed according to school size. Napa will go D1 and Wood D2.

Are you sure?? Is there a new rule in effect this year or same as before by school size?
