Franklin-Elk Grove beat Davis 9-0 behind a strong game from Jordy Lopez. The sophomore threw five innings of one hit ball with eight strikeouts and went 2-for-2 with three RBI at the plate.

Earlier in the week, Franklin beat Davis 11-1 and 12-9.

Leigh beat Willow Glen for the second time this week with an 8-2 victory on Friday. Dillion Haftorson threw a complete game, seven hitter for the Longhorns. Dylan Christian, Dom Panella and Bryant Viskovich each had two RBI.

For Willow Glen, Logan Vieira went 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI.

Vanden beat Vacaville 5-4 with a run in the top of the seventh to improve to 10-0.

Vanden's Tyler Jones went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Devin Paras and Jack Brooks also each added two hits. Erick Diez got the start and struck out 10 batters over five innings in giving up three runs.

Finn Chapman went 2-for-3 with a RBI for Vacaville (6-5). Nick Vierra gave up three runs in four innings as the starter.

On Tuesday, Vanden won 3-2.

Palo Alto senior outfielder Henry Bolte (Texas) hit two home runs in a 9-0 win over Cupertino. On the year, he is 15-for-35 with four home runs, 10 RBI, 18 runs scored and eight walks.

Windsor won the Rabinovitz Tournament (Montgomery) with an 11-2 win over Montgomery. They have won five in a row, including wins over Petaluma and Tamalpais, since their only loss to Vintage.

Monte Vista (5-5) beat California (10-1) 5-3 behind five runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Mustangs had previously lost to Foothill-Pleasanton and San Ramon Valley in league play.

For Cal High, Aidan Camberg and Cade Hannula each had a double and Steven Verespey gave up two runs in 5.1 innings.

Serra scored seven runs in the final two innings to beat St. Ignatius 11-7. Ben Cleary, Kai Laxa and Tyler Perruzzaro each had two RBI. Trevor Burns picked up the win in pitching the final four innings.

IF this is true, shame on the admins that voted yes to kick Cardinal Newman out of their league, way to show your true colors.

After losing its opener to Rocklin, Woodcreek has won six in a row following Monday's 6-2 win over Folsom. The Timberwolves have given up six total runs during the win streak.

Woodcreek lefty Braeden Sloan struck out eight over four innings and Zack Malone pitched the final three innings in striking out five more batters. Jake Harvey added three hits.

For Folsom, Ronan McGagin and Colin Callahan each had a double. John Alkire struck out six batters in 3.1 innings and gave up six runs (all unearned).

After a 2 year hiatus the City All Star Game is back. The game will again be played in the memory of former Lincoln Coach Mike Gragnani, who passed away in 2010. If you are in invitee please RSVP to Coach Randy via text at 415 418 4568

This game is for Seniors only and is a great way to end your high school career by bringing together players from the AAA, BCL and WCAL. Many of you have grown-up playing with and against each other so this will be a fun last hurrah. We generally attract a lively crowd and media coverage.

The event will be held at CCSF on Friday March 18th. We will have t-shirt uniform for you. You will just need to bring your shoes, shorts and game. Schedule will be as follows:

5:30 - Girls 3-point contest. We will take all comers. Each contestant will get 1 minute to make as many 3's as they can with one ball and a rebounder.
6:00 - Girls Game
7:15 - Slam Dunk Contest. Open to all comers
7:30 - Boys Game

STATE CHAMPS TOURNAMENT

Quite a few states have already said "yes" to playing, CA not one of them yet, but maybe... or maybe in the future if not this year.

Anthony Williams who played basketball this season for Inderkum has died. A young man full of promise and a shining light on the Inderkum campus.
Strength and support to all those associated with this young man.

Oak Ridge moved to 3-3 on Saturday with a 5-2 win over Alameda, which came in at 7-0, in Stockton.

The Trojans got five innings of two run ball from Andy Uharriet, who is now 2-0 with a 2.93 ERA.

Porter Price went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Ryan Spero had a double and Calin Trexler had a triple for the Trojans.

St. Mary's-Stockton beat Turlock 6-5: Max Ortega had a walk-off home run for the Rams. It is their first win of the season after a 0-5 start.

Franklin-Elk Grove beat Jesuit 10-0: Nolan Stevens was a home run short of the cycle with two RBI. He also threw five shutout innings.

St. Francis beat Serra 1-0: Jack Surdey threw five shutout innings for the Lancers, which got two innings from Ned Righellis for the save. Serra got four innings of one run ball from Ryan Beck.

Valley Christian beat Mitty 13-8: The Warriors avenged an earlier loss to the Monarchs. They scored seven runs in the top of the third.

Acalanes beat College Park 2-1: Acalanes picks up a win over a Top 35 team after losing to Marin Catholic, San Ramon Valley and Foothill. Nate Leffel had three hits for College Park
