perfect fit
great pick up
watch out for st marys
good get by bennett..
but was he always too big a star for st marys?
was he not sure of his abilities and now he sees he can compete?
Bennet’s 2 sons both played with Aiden at Campo. It’s no secret why he chose SMC out of HS.

Jaden Rashada on the move in the Portal

Another guy who never materialized and was overblown Ari Patu from Folsom. Barely played at Folsom and Shaw gives him a ride to Stanford. If you even spent 30 minutes watching him play you would have known this was way out of his league.. So he hits the big lights of North Alabama!

I agree. He got a lot of hype because of his last name and his height. Was never all that impressed with him.

Two Locals go in the First Round

Georgia TE Brock Bowers (Napa) went No. 13 to the Las Vegas Raiders

UCLA Edge Laiatu Latu (Jesuit) went No. 15 to the Indianapolis Colts

Strong showing for NorCal Football on the opening night of the draft
2 very late bloomers. The Bowers story is simply amazing. So much for having to go to a big name hs and twitter.
They will find you. They always do.

Aidan Mahaney...

Here's the latest info on Aidan's Portal Adventure:

"PORTAL NEWS: An update on Aidan Mahaney's recruitment, per his AAU coach@RyanSilver1of West Coast Elite:

* Mahaney has already visited Creighton
* Has visits set up to Virginia and UConn

His final visit will come down to Florida, USC or Kentucky."

So, either Michigan is out, or Aidan has gotten enough info from interviews with them to make a decision.
Would be interesting to see him in the Big East with UConn or Creighton. Bennett definitely needs more scoring options at Virginia. Golden is a good coach at UF with roots here. I hope it is one of those 4 schools.

Andrej-Stanford

How do you know if it would be an upgrade ? Nobody is transferring to a school just to “play on a better team”. Are your going to get more minutes and shots and how much are you paying me. That’s the only things these players are considering. Cal has a significantly more robust nil collective for basketball than Stanford.
In most cases I would agree with you. In this case where you have a kid who comes from money and was raised very well I think there are other more important factors. Nobody wants to play for a losing team either. I don't care how many shots you are getting up. Cultural of winning and being a champion does still matter. CAL's financial situation is not by any means good. Still operates at a big loss which was accelerated by moving to the ACC. Like saying there NIL is the biggest midget. Location near family however is tough to pass on however. They are a close knit group.

WCAL 2024 Football Schedules

I actually think Mitty has a pretty soft non-league schedule. Logan had a coaching overhaul from my understanding, Aptos lost the irreplaceable Coach Randy Blankenship and M-A is now what they were when Coach Adhir was there. We will circle back but I see a bunch of “B League” type of opponents.
Fair enough, I saw Logan twice last year and they looked pretty good with some nice young athletes figured they would give Mitty plenty of trouble……forgot about Blankenship leaving, still think they give Mitty all they can handle and MA agreed probably an easy W
