Yes, the Pinewood game was a thumping. We headed to the Priory v. St. Francis game after and that was a thriller. You summarize the game well. Priory’s press turned it around and Sheng hit some huge 3’s as part of the Priory come back. Then yes Jiminez led the St. Francis come back and it all came down to the final possessions. That set play that put Priory ahead by 2 was masterful.

Interested to see the Priory v St Francis (3v6) game tonight. Was a close one when they played at WCJ. Lancers will have to hit the glass hard, but have shooters that Priory bigs will have to cover.
Was even closer this time. St. Francis led by nine early in the third quarter. Priory put on a press, and the Lancers didn't have an answer. Priory went up by 9 with three minutes to go but the Lancers came storming back behind Maia Jimenez. She tied the game with a couple of free throws with 15 seconds left. Nice set piece by Priory put them ahead and SF couldn't get their last chance to go. Final was 45-42.

Meanwhile, Pinewood thumped Sacred Heart 71-39. The Panthers led by 30 at the half and coasted home. Jo Ding had a big game for Pinewood with 29.

Riordan topped SI 49-45 and Mitty crushed Valley Christian for the third time this year.

Next games are on Monday.

Lincoln v. Oak Ridge

I think next Tuesday's game of McClatchy at St. Mary's will be a great, close game. But I think McClatchy will have a lot of motivation to avenge their earlier 3-point loss on December 7 to St. Mary's. McClatchy is playing well now. I hear from a McClatchy parent that that 3-point loss to St. Mary's was the day AFTER McClatchy lost to Mitty on 12/6 and was winded after that big tournament game against Mitty so early in the season when Mitty was #2 in the nation. Also, there's more motivation for McClatchy to prove the SJS committee wrong by making McClatchy the #3 seed (22-6 record), and giving St. Mary's the #2 seed (17-12) due to the earlier 3-point H2H loss.

Fixing the system

There are TWENTY FOUR teams in D6 in the NCS! Why in the world are we giving them FOUR bids to the norcals???

They can't even fill out the D6 bracket? 10 teams in the bracket!

AND there is no D6 state championships game.

Yes...there are more deserving teams in the higher divisions.

This seems like an " everybody deserves a trophy" mentality at its core.
Ferndale didn’t have to play a game. Bye, Forfeit, NorCal. Lol
