With what Folsom did to Rocklin defensively this weekend, this matchup should be VERY interesting. Folsom is finally healthy and is playing well on defense.

In all fairness- Folsom did not earn the open bid prior to last night.

But it begs the question after the Folsom stunner and dominant defense in the win over DLS AT DLS.

Is NorCal sending its best team to the open this year?

Arrived at Dublin HS a couple minutes ago, all ready for the action!

First game in a few minutes, Daugherty Valley vs. Woodside Priory of…. somewhere on the Peninsula, Portola Valley.. Priory’s player to watch is a 6’9 sophomore named Steve Emeneke.

Dougherty Valley beat Bishop O'Dowd 66-55. Ryan Beasley had 29 points.

Modesto Christian beat Durango 68-57.

St. Ignatius beat Monte Vista 61-50 to win the Peterich Tip Off Classic.

Was looking forward to see this game on NFHS today although SRV looks like they are missing several players with only 8 players in uniform.. Still going to watch.

This one is gonna sting for a long time Spartan Nation. This was a TWO loss SFL team that NO ONE gave 1 chance of beating Rocklin or going TO DLS and DOMINATING on defense to win that game.

Folsom now represents NorCal AGAIN in the 1AA State Title game.

I said it all along. DLS didn't deserve to be an OPEN team this year. The usual suspects tried to cry there way into it. As it turns out- DLS isn't even a 1AA rep this year.

Pondo beat granite bay by about 15 and OR beat Rio by 14.

OR looks much improved. Some solid offensive guard play. Pondo is going to be a force in d3. They still have a couple transfers out as well. I could see them going very far this year. Great guard play, legit 6”9 athletic center, and one of best coaching staffs around.
