Regionals Championship Round

This post is very late... I was out of the area during the championship weekend and followed up with a busy schedule. But I did want to post this final update to the battle of sections in the championship round.

Divisions II through IV were mismatched routs for the champions of those divisions. Only Division I (St. Mary's @ Granada) and Division V (Woodland Christian @ Menlo) were apparent competitive games. Granada won the DI championship 6-4 while Woodland Christian bested Menlo 3-2.

Both SJS and NCS sections performed very well in the regional playoffs. They are the only two sections to win championship games. The SJS section performed the best with 30% of its original teams (or 3 teams) winning championships. The NCS section also performed nobly with 22% or 2 of it teams winning championship games.

Here are the overall win results by sections.

Why was the Sky vs Mystics Ticket sales capped at 10K but not for Fever vs Mystics? Let's talk about it

There has been a whole lot of hoopla about Caitlyn Clark selling 23k against the Mystics but Angel Reese and Sky "Only" selling 10k in Washington against the Mystics. Well it turns out the game was capped at 10K so they didn't even give the Chicago Sky a chance to post a higher attendance number on the Mystics home court. Why is that??? Just curious what you all think?

Tyler Byrum from Monumental Sports Network who commentates Mystics games called that game and posted it the same night that it was capped 🤷🏿‍♂️

Folsom vs Serra Gardena?

I saw on Maxpreps that Folsom is playing Serra Gardena this year and not Serra San Mateo. I was under the impression Folsom was playing Serra SM but when you look at the logo on Folsom’s schedule and click the link, it shows Serra Gardena and their schedule shows Folsom as well.

Does anybody know which Serra Folsom is playing? How strong is either Serra expected to be this year?

Thanks!
