April 17 Scores: Sophomores lead St. Mary's-Stockton

Burlingame beat Sequoia 10-2: Burlingame has won five in a row in avenging a loss to Sequoia. Burlingame is second in the PAL-Bay Division behind Menlo-Atherton.

Foothill Pleasanton beat Livermor 8-6: Foothill scored two runs in the top of the seventh to grab the win. Nate Novitski had a home run and Tyler Gebb added two doubles. CJ Johnston had three RBI in the loss for Livermore.

Del Oro beat Oak Ridge 2-1: Sam Brown and Jayke Brower combined on a four hitter as Del Oro won the series opener at Oak Ridge. Jake Fields struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings for Oak Ridge.

St. Mary's Stockton beat Tracy 7-2: Brady Errecart was a homer short of the cycle in driving in three runs and scoring three runs for the Rams. Tanner Grove threw a complete game with nine strikeouts.

We are a long ways off and who knows who will transfer where but sac people let’s start a dialogue of who will be the best group of players in town next year. Without any research off the top of my head:

April 13 Scoreboard: College Park sweeps Acalanes

Mitty beat Carlmont 14-1: Matthew Stivaletti and Noah Pang each had three hits and five ptichers combiend for a five hitter with nine strikeouts.

Leigh beat Leland 6-2: Colten Hanson threw a complete game in giving up five hits with six strikeouts. Justin Jeong and Bryant Viskovich each had two hits for Leigh. Leland's Cody Hardtke went 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI.

Washington-Fremont beat St. Francis 6-2: The Lancers took a second non league loss this week. Washington's Mateo Valadez and Mateo Torres each had two RBI.

College Park beat Acalanes 3-2 (13 innings) College Park completed a two game sweep of Acalanes as Kevwe Ojo had a triple and RBI. Samuel Johnston threw five shutout innings in relief. Acalanes' Keegan Goddard had two doubles in the loss.

Clayton Valley Charter beat Northgate 6-0: The Eagles completed a sweep of Northgate and have given up eight runs in their nine wins.

Woodcreek beat Yuba City 5-0: Aidan Purvis threw five shutout innings with six strikeouts and Isaac Hawthrone had two RBI.

April 12 Scoreboard: Granada and Franklin post league shutouts

Valley Christian beat Bellarmine 5-2: Jordan Ortiz and Carmenlo Ricera each had two hits and Jacob Hudson had two RBI for the Warriors in a Top 10 matchup. Michael Castaneda had six strikeouts over six innings to pick up the win.

Sacred Heart Prep beat St. Francis 2-1: Devin Saltzgaber threw five innings and Tyler Wong finished with two shutout innings for the Gators. Matthew Holcomb gave up two runs in six innings in a matchup of sophomore starters.

Menlo-Atherton beat Sacred Heart Cathedral 3-2: George Zaharias had a home run and Harrison Long gave up one hit and two runs over 6.1 innings with nine strikeouts. Beckett Montgomery had a home run in the loss.

Granada beat Foothill-Pleasanton 1-0: In one of the better pitching matchups of the year, Granada's Joshua Morano threw a complete game (eight innings) of three hit ball with eight strikeouts. Foothill's Tyler Gebb went seven shutout innings in giving up two hits.

Amador Valley beat Dublin 7-1: The Dons scored four runs in the top of the seventh to stretch out the final margin. Mitchell Kreider had a home run and two RBI and Oliver de la Torre gave up one hit and one run over six innings. Dublin's Desi Lopez gave up three runs (two earned) in 5.1 innings.

Whitney beat Folsom 11-1: Whitney evened the series with a home run from Jace Gillmore and a six inning complete game from Gavin McLendon.

Oak Ridge beat Granite Bay 5-4: Oak Ridge got the come from behind win with two runs in the bottom of the seventh. Oak Ridge's Joe Carroll went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Granite Bay's Cody Ferrante had two RBI.

Lodi beat Lincoln-Stockton 6-2: Lodi evened this series as Brent Godina gave up two runs (one earned) over 6.1 innings with nine strikeouts. Lincoln's Caleb Hendricks went 3-for-3 with a RBI.

Franklin Elk Grove beat Elk Grove 10-0: It was a dominating showing for the Wildcats in a five inning win. Nolan Stevens struck out eight over four innings and Derek Pham had three RBI.

El Capitan beat Central Catholic 8-6: The Gauchos scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh as Jarrett Blake went 4-for-4 and Albert Simonian had three RBI. Braxton Thomas had a home run and three runs scored for Central Catholic.

April 11 Scoreboard: Upsets in the SFL

Dublin beat De La Salle 3-2: The Gaels scored three runs in the fifth inning to knock off the Spartans. Carter Pearson went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Colin Glines went six innings for the win. De La Salle's Kai Smith scored both of De La Salle's runs. Jack Hershey got the start and went 4.1 innings with five strikeouts.

College Park beat Acalanes 1-0: Charlie Malton gave up 11 hits, but threw a complete game shutout to help the Falcons even their record at 6-6. These two teams play again on Thursday with College Park taking on Heritage on Saturday.

Windsor beat Analy 6-0: Windsor improved to 10-2 as Carson Dillon threw a three hitter with six strikeouts. Clayton DeMars went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Turlock beat Turlock Christian 4-1: In a good pitching matchup, Payton Hawkinson got the win with 10 stirkeouts over five innings. Turlock Christian's Gavin Farinha gave up four unearned runs in 6.2 innings with 14 strikeouts.

Folsom beat Whitney 6-5: Folsom knocked off Whitney in eight innings as Payton Dupree had two RBI and John Kim threw the final two innings to get the win. Jace Gillmore had a home run and two RBI and went six innings on the mound with four strikeouts.

Granite Bay beat Oak Ridge 4-3: The Grizzlies scored three runs in the bottom the seventh for the series opening win. Bryse Bentley had a pair of RBI and Chase Bentley went six innings of two run ball for Granite Bay. Luke Williams went 3-for-4 with two doubles for the Trojans.

Franklin-EG beat Elk Grove 9-1: Jordan Lopez and Dom Giusti each had two RBI and Nic Abraham threw a complete game, four-hitter with two strikeouts.

Santa Teresa beat Willow Glen 10-4: Johnny Alvarez had two home runs and four RBI and Riley Breton threw a complete game, four hitter for Santa Teresa. Willow Glen's Aiden Januario had a double and RBI.

April 10 Scoreboard: Lincoln-Stockton wins series opener

Lincoln-Stockton beat Lodi 3-1: Ray Olivas had a complete game with five strikeouts for the Trojans, which got two RBI from Cole Mikita. Lodi's Andrew Wright gave up three runs (one earned) in 6.1 innings. Vance Haskins had a triple.

Lincoln beat Antelope 13-3: Jackson Cook had a home run and three RBI and Xavier Maldonado threw three shutout innings with four strikeouts.

Los Gatos beat Hollister 7-4: Los Gatos gained control with five runs in the bottom of the fourth. Carter Johnstone went 3-for-3 with two RBI and Donovan Freed had two runs scored. The Wildcats used six pitchers.

Menlo beat Aptos 4-3: Menlo freshman Jack Freehill had two RBI and Jacob Lee had two runs scored. Jack Sonsini pitched the final 3.2 innings of one run ball to get the win. Gabe Gaeckle had a home run and three RBI in the loss, Edward Peters gave up four unearned runs in 5.2 innings for Aptos.

Bishop O'Dowd beat Encinal 5-1: Isaac Tokarz threw a complete game, three hitter for the Dragons, which has won two in a row and three of four games. Bishop O'Dowd scored all five of its runs in the second inning.
