Nope, that is pretty much it from the CCS. A lot of decent but not great teams that could advance a few rounds in lower divisions (like this year, mostly WCAL teams) but no one else really elite. I would even argue that ESP is borderline in that sense, but 2 straight state titles may be the burden that bumps them up.

Cardinal Newman?

I have it as
1. SM Stockton
2. Carondelet
3. Mitty
4. Pinewood
5. Salesian
6. BOD
7. West Campus
8. Oakridge
9. ESCP
10. Miramonte
11.Heritage
12. Vanden
13. Cardinal newman
14. Modesto Christian
15. Campolindo
16. St. Joseph's
17. California
18. St. Francis
19. Antelope
20. Pleasant Valley

He only asked for top 10 and cn isn't top 10.

And you have west campus too high. They graduate Adams and 1 Johnson sister.

I had Campolindo fairly high in my "future" rankings, but was certainly disappointed on Friday.

Vanden has a program built for continued success, but replacing Julia will be very hard to do.

Good year for Sacramento with Sac, McClatchy and Oak Ridge at the top.

The word is Campo has an incoming freshman who's the sister of the 6-5 freshman boy this year who was one of the best players in the league. Both, by the way, are Australian, as I understand it, and the girl is supposedly varsity-ready.

And you know, that Sacred Heart Cathedral team has been pretty good year in and year out, and though IImar'I Thomas and Edina Del Rosario graduate, everyone else is back. I would not count them out.

The other thing: O'Dowd is D2 next year, and Newman is D3. Given how tough those NCS playoffs will be (even if it's only the last game in D2), I have to believe the D1, D2 and D3 winners from NCS are locks. And since Vanden is a defending state champ, some credit will have to be given to the SJS D2 winner as well as the D1 winner. Plus three from CCS (Pinewood, Mitty, Eastside or SHC).

The contenders who don't make it all drop to D1.

NCS D1, D2, D3 WINNER all OPEN....I would agree with that assessment. I would think 3 from CCS also.

Cannot confirm incoming Campolindo freshman, but rumors have it possibly 2 additional 6 footers that can play will be on the roster next year.

My experience with incoming freshmen is this: If I see them on campus after school has started, then they're coming. Anything before the first day of school is just supposition ...

That is very true. Because I know of a few cases where kids and or rumor had it a child was definitely planning to attend a particular school and then ended up going to another school. I think most children and most parents want to be in a school that fits their overall needs with sports being one of several criteria being considered. Who should knock them for that?

Let's hope one the additional 6 footers can close out on the corner three kid!
The rumor has it that the girl(s) who is/are coming back are former players that left BB to pursue some kind of water sport. So they will have some experience too.

Love message boards..... Rumor has it.......... Check back in November and see if the pair of synchronized swimmers end up coming out..

Update: The Australian girl plays at the eighth grade age level, but is a seventh grader this year, according to the latest info. Which could be no more accurate than the previous info.

We'll know in September.

Oak Ridge
West Campus loses less than McClatchy.
Oak Ridge will have a 6'6" sophomore next season who came up from their JV team. They could have a starting five of 6'6", 6'5", 6'3", 6'2", and 5'10" if they started all their bigs.

McClatchy's JV team went 22-0 this past season (MaxPreps only shows 17-0 due to five wins with no reported scores), with wins over the JV teams of Oak Ridge, Folsom, Davis, and twice over Sacramento. Gigi Garcia's younger sister Bella will be a 5'10" sophomore next season on the varsity team at McClatchy. Expect McClatchy to be a Top 20 team in NorCal, but not a Top 10. West Campus should be very strong--a Top 15 in NorCal.

I heard she reads at a 10th grade level as well but that is just a rumor.
