LG is a very solid program. Not elite, but they are not afraid to swim in the deeper end of the pool of scheduling.

Marin Catholic schedule, no joke!

This season? As compared to say maybe 35 of the last 40 or so seasons, this will be any different than those?
DLS has almost lost to NCS teams the last 3 years 30-23 against pit in 2022 an OT win at SRV 33-27 by the way they should of lost and were losing in the 4th quarter in the ncs championship and ended pulling away 17-7 in the rematch in 2023. Pit was 7 minutes away from ending the NCS streak last season in the championship, my point is NCS teams have had success against DLS the past 3 couple seasons but this season I don’t see any team being competitive with DLS.

It sounds like Pitt was hit hard by graduation.

Is there a consensus on who's #2 this year in the NCS?

The difference between the 2 seed and the 3 seed in the stupid OPEN/D1 playoff 8 team format is light years.
Don’t be surprised if Cal high is up there, I do expect them to finally beat SRV this season.

SRV sweeping SI was a very good look for the EBAL

They lost about 80% of their squad last season. DLS gonna eat through the NCS this season.
Yeah…..still, I’ve never known the Pirates to downgrade their schedule for any reason, at least not that I have perceived. A little disappointed actually.

From what I was told Folsom agreed to play and then backed out, DeLa turned down, SRV declined, and no other NorCal team wanted to play the Pirates. Apparently Bosco is coming to Pirate Stadium in 2026

I understand Pitt-Riordan was a home and home agreement that had the Pirates hosting the Crusaders this past season. Same with McClymonds-Riordan as both Pitt and Mack wanted to host first.

Ok. A Pitt -SRV rematch from the playoffs last year would have been fun to watch. Both teams played a tough, hard nosed game in NCS last year.Great game. Wonder why DLS turned it down, although both teams have seen plenty of each other over the years

Rumor has it that Bosco's new coach is a closet HS marching band fanatic. He's supposedly heard about The......Marching Piratas and couldn't resist seeing/hearing them in their home port, Maties !

PITT’s Schedule is really no different then last year less the SJB game, Granite Bay = Monterey Trail, and it’s sounds like they tried to replace SJB with either Folsom or DLS…..

As far as to why DLS wouldn’t play PITT that answer is obvious….. With no Open Play in game in Nor Cal, DLS needs to build a resume so they can be “Chosen” to play in The Open, so why play a team in the Regular Season that you know you will meet in the playoffs when they are not in your league?….

You need wins over as many quality opponents as possible to build the best resume, so you can’t afford to “Burn” a regular season game…..
