29th League Title earned in Overtime at Lincoln!

SEASON ON THE BRINK...
First defender gets beat on the slowest crossover ever. PLAY HIS RIGHT HAND!

3 team fouls, and the help defender looks like he is fouling the dribbler, but you gotta jump in front of him and make NBA 90s contact! There is no way he gets downhill with a title on the line and a foul to give.
The other 2 help defenders are hugging their players but there is only 2 seconds left!!!! get in the damn paint!!!!! If he kicks, which wasnt going to do, time would have run out and you are at the jeweler today getting fitted for a ring!!!!!

Exactly. Use those fouls, make MC have to try a play with 1 to 3 seconds instead of six or eight, whatever it was.

M.C. fan's computer must be glitching. It somehow autocorrected "29th league title bought" to "29th league title earned". Weird.

Also, my goodness Gavin Sykes is good. He scores with ease, never seems to get rattled, and is such a strong guard. One of the best players from this area in several years.
He sure is. Such a complete player.

My best guesses for SJS playoffs seeds are 1. Inderkum, 2. Modesto Christian, 3. Folsom, 4. Lincoln Stockton, 5. Monterey Trail, 6. Sheldon, 7. Franklin, 8. Oak Ridge or Vanden.

Inderkum is 0-0 against Max Preps SJS top 5, but they have only one loss and are number 2 in the computer rankings. They have no SJS losses and I think they lock in the #1 with a win over Moreau Catholic who MC loss to in their opener in OT. Modesto Christian is 3-0 against SJS top 5 teams including two wins over #1 Lincoln. Modesto Christian does have 7 losses but 3 are to teams ranked 14, 21 and 51 nationally according to Max Preps. MC's biggest loss is by 13 points on the road to state #18 Crespi, and their other two losses are to out of state teams Arizona #3 Boulder Creek, and a talented team with a deceptive record Father Tolton, which was the fifth game in six days and included a trip to Illinois.

Folsom is 1-1 against the SJS top 5 beating Lincoln and losing to Monterey Trail. Lincoln is #1 in the computer ranks but 0-3 against SJS top 5. It's tough to drop Lincoln to #4, but they lost to Folsom, and I don't think it makes sense to have them play MC a third time before the section finals. Inderkum can prove their #1 seed by beating Lincoln, Lincoln can vindicate themselves by beating Inderkum to get back to the finals, and MC doesn't get punished having to play a very tough league rival in the semis for playing top teams under challenging circumstances during the season, which hurt their rating overall but prepped them well for the playoffs.

Folsom gets the #3 nod over Lincoln because of the head to head win and massive blowout win over Mater Dei, but could find themselves in a tough second round match up with a hot Sheldon team. I don't think anyone is yearning to tangle with Sheldon with how well they are playing late in the season, winners of ten in a row and playing in a tough league.

This seeding makes the most sense to me, but we'll see what the seeding committee thinks when the playoffs roll around.

I don’t see Folsom as 3. They lost to MT who has is currently tied with Sheldon. Sheldon has won over Rocklin. So Delta over SFL. How can you put Lincoln at 4? When they were 2nd in league, and you have Inderkum, MC, Folsom, Sheldon/MT, winning there leagues outright? IMO

1) MC
2) Inderkum
3) Sheldon/ MT
4) Folsom
5) Lincoln
6) Sheldon/Mt
7) Vanden
8)Jesuit

After looking it over there's a lot of head to heads that make things really sticky. That's a pretty good seeding projection IMO, but I still think the committee puts Inderkum at 1 and MC at 2. Inderkum being #13 in the state and having only one loss is going to be hard to overcome for MC. MC does have two wins over Lincoln who beat Mission Bay by 19 who beat Inderkum by 20. Don't think they put much stock in those removed scenarios though. The Moreau Catholic game could be the decider. Even then they might still go with Inderkum. MC shouldn't fall below 2 as they have wins over Lincoln and Monterey Trail, with MT having a win over Folsom. Seeds 3 through 10 are going to be tough to figure out for sure.
