A Few Key Games Tonight

Mitty at Riordan
Mitty finds itself in an unfamiliar position, riding a two game losing streak (albeit to two nationally-ranked teams). And tonight it faces what may be its toughest test in the WCAL in Archbishop Riordan. Riordan comes in at 11-4. It plays solid defense and has the size and ballhandling to give Mitty a game if things break right for them.

Carondelet at Dublin
C-Let is 14-4 after holding off a valiant comeback effort to top Salesian 64-63 last night. Dublin is 13-2 against a softer schedule but they draw a nice crowd to their loud gym, and maybe they'll catch C-Let on an off night.

SI at St. Francis
St. Francis has shown glimpses of excellence this season, but needs to win some WCAL games against upper echelon teams. SI has had an up and down year, but hung with Mitty a week ago.

Mitty led by two after one, and pressured Riordan into a series of miscues to open it up a bit in the second quarter. Kudos to Riordan for hanging around, but they didn't have enough offense to overcome Mitty's points off turnovers. Mitty still struggling some in the half court.

St. Francis beat SI 63-51 and Valley Christian over SHCP 40-38.

Lincoln beat SMS?

Yep. Lincoln won 77-73. Senior Lailah Leonard-Roberts had 22 points.

Also, Del Oro beat Oak Ridge 54-42. Bella Von Seipler had 12 points. Payton Hyde had 13 points.

SMS left their league and went independent under Tom G if im not mistaken. I'm pretty sure they had a current winning streak (in league) that was well over 100 in a row that was on hold while they went independent. ( I saw the current winning streak info on the Cal-Hi records page). Ill look it up and find out and post. Either way this is a league loss and obviously hasn't happened very often over the last decade or so.

SMS wins streak in league reached 196. They lost to Lincoln back after they went independent so now that they are playing Lincoln again in league Cal Hi counted that loss to Lincoln in the 2015/16 season as a league game. Cal Hi now counts that as the streak ending there.
