Now that State Champs have been crowned, time to look towards AAU season. Anyone have the early scoop on rosters for the top local teams (Soldiers, Rebels/Lillard, Arsenal, PHPS, Lakeshow...)? Any new teams going to make a splash this summer (speaking of, what happened to Splash City after a very strong year 1 on UA circuit???), seems like there's usually a new dog or two trying to get into the local fight for top players LOL...

It’s a joke man. I mean i guess everyone has their right to start up a new program and have hoop dreams. But let’s be real outside of Soldiers, Arsenal, Lillard, every other program is just barely holding on. Chuck Hayes usually has a competitive team. Lakeshow does a good job also. Kelvin Potts did a really good job with that senior class he had. Put in countless hours with that squad. Soldiers seem to have reloaded according to sources. Not sure who Lillard has.

Phps isn’t around any more to my knowledge.

I believe they came back around at the end of last summer with a super Sac team of Jordan Brown, Elias King, Zach Chapelle, etc. Not sure if it was one last hoorah or a return for good.

There is a new 16u team. WCE NorCal will be on the UAA Circut.
Roster has Robby Beasley (Dublin) DJ (St Pats) Tyler Brinkman (Salesian) Dallas Rider (Moreau) Carter Mahaney (Campo) Jamir Thomas. Other kids I don't know by name.

Players for the Soldiers that have been announced:

Aaron Murphy Modesto Christian
Ezra Manjon Heritage
Neal Begovich St. Ignatius
Raymond Hawkins Bishop O'Dowd

Handful of SoCal guys including Gianni Hunt (Bishop Mongtomery) and Kenyon Martin and Scotty Pippen (Sierra Canyon)

EBO will have Dathan Satchell, Tsonte Tsartsidze and Earvin Knox from Modesto Christian and Levelle Bailey from Burbank

Arsenal has Isaiah Hawthorne (Tracy) as its marquee player.

Lot of the young players in the valley will be with Chuck Hayes Basketball 16s

Kendall Munson is expected to play with the EBO Pharaohs.

Just saw Keshad Johnson with EBO also, I guess they are this year's new (but really OLD) player in local AAU scene... they're legit though with this roster they've got going and the program's history...

Anyone know who some of these players will be with?

Xavion Brown, Sheldon
Kaito Williams, Sheldon
McLanahan Twins, Salesian
Bryce Johnson, St. Mary's Stockton
Jay Allen-Tovar, Valley Christian
Bryce Monroe, SHC
Jelani Clark, Riordan

Xavion Brown: Lakeshow (don't know which team)
Kaito Williams: Pharaohs

I thought I saw Monroe and Clark were players for Soldiers 16s, but haven't confirmed that yet

Saw the Soldiers added Kamiri Smith from Mission as well as a big from Bella Vista Prep (AZ)...

Just saw today the McClanahan twins will be playing with Phoenix Phamily in the EYBL (Bagley-coached team) but saw pics of them at Soldiers training camp over the weekend, must not have liked where they stood on the Soldiers roster lol...

Soldiers EYBL has announced a lot of guys playing for them. Can't imagine all of them sticking.

I heard the Soldiers are loaded. Talked to a good friend this weekend who attended their boot camp and he said they have high major talent in every position. High major D1/NBA size. Does anyone me have an official roster? He did say there is a lot of kids from Southern California

Only 5 out of 12 from Norcal... some heavy hitters from Socal though, backcourt trio of Boogie Ellis, Gianni Hunt and Scottie Pippen Jr. going to be TOUGH...

Kaito Williams with Arsenal from what I hear

Not my area of expertise but it would sure be nice to see the sac area kids stay and have a sponsored local opportunity. Can’t think of another major city that doesn’t have a sponsored team.

Do they have a 16u EYBL team?

My understanding is the Soldier's 16U squad is made of many of last year's Splash City 15U EYBL team including Bryce Monroe and Jelani Clark. I think that Tejon Sawyer and Tyler Brinkmann play for them as well.

Tyler Brinkman is with WCE NorCal which is a sponsored UAA team.

thanks for the correction - i saw a team picture for the Soldiers squad and there's a kid on their squad that looks like Tyler at least to me ;-).

Saw a video that Coleman Hawkins (Antelope) is playing for Dream Vision. Guessing on the 16s

Who looked good at Soldiers tourney and Arsenal matchup city over the weekend?

Any rosters come out of these events? Arsenal 17s? Soldier 16s? Lakeshow?

I wasn’t able to see the Soldiers tournament at all but I watched the live stream of Matchup city Friday night and caught the Ebo vs arsenal game the next day. Jalen Green was without a doubt the top player at the event but 2 kids that stood out big time to me were Isaiah Hawthorne for Arsenal and Dathan Satchell for Ebo. Hawthorne might be the best player in the 2019 class and Satchell the best scorer. Both really impressed. Soldiers may not be worth following much as a NorCal fan as most of the roster is from Southern California.
