D5 game between Eastside Prep and St. Joseph is set to start in about 20 minutes. Top two seeds in this bracket.

Eastside Prep is the defending champion

Eastside Prep leads St. Joseph 9-8 with 3:56 left in Q1. Sloppy start

Eastside Prep leads 31-18 with 533 left in Q2. Panthers' quickness and energy are causing problems.

Eastside Prep playing well and causing lots of matchup problems for St. Joseph. ESP leads 40-23 at halftime.

Gabriel and Bell in double figures for the Panthers.

Shawn Hipol pushed the right buttons in the locker room. St. Joseph is buzzing in Q3 and now trails 44-40 with 408 left in Q3

Eastside Prep wins its second straight D5 title with a 65-59 win over St. Joseph.

After losing in its first four trips to the finals, Panthers have now won two in a row. No seniors on the roster this year.

Congrats to Donovan, and also to Shawn. Two quality programs ...

D4 Girls: Cardinal Newman is all over Menlo defensively. Lead 10-2 after eight minutes

Cardinal Newman leads 26-8 with 1:13 left in the half. Just getting into the offense is tough for Menlo.

Menlo is on an 11-0 run since the last post. Now trail 26-19 less than two minutes into the second half.

Cardinal Newman leads Menlo 36-22. Combo of Walker and Vice-Neat is a tough matchup for both teams. Flores and Cargill have had their moments too.

Sam Erisman is a good player for Menlo. Can create her own looks

SHC leads Inderkum 10-9 with 233 left in Q1. Kaliya Griffin is causing some problems for SHC

SHC leads Inderkum 29-22 with 242 left in the half. SHC doing a better job of getting Thomas the ball inside. Best way for them to start offense.

SHC leads 37-30 at halftime.

Key rest of the way is which team takes away the others' star. Thomas for SHC and Griffin for Inderkum. Both teams have good support elsewhere, but can't let a star dictate the game

SHC wins 70-51. Took control with that opening second half run.

Irish will play Lakeside, a 35-34 winner over Orange Lutheran on March 24th at 2:00pm at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.

Smart coaching by LyRyan Russell. I'd like to see a one-two punch with him and Brian Harrigan running the boys' teams.

Go Irish!
