ANOTHER SF 49ER ARRESTED

The rift existed between Baalke and Harbaugh, not York. York decided to side with Baalke in the end and this is the end result. Baalke has an ego the size of the planet earth. Harbaugh didn't like Baalke's approach to the game, and vice versa. They also had a gigantic personality conflict.

York got suckered into Baalke's sales pitch about the direction of the 49ers (ousting Harbaugh and going a different direction). York got completely suckered. Now they have a stadium to pay for with tons of pissed off fans. The backlash is going to be very bad.

Bottom line...Baalke see's the 49ers as a job. He is not a legacy from the organization. He is a Bill Parcells bi-product. Based on the events in the last 6 months, he should be fired...on the spot.

FYI- York was in CUBA when they aquired Jerome Simpson. He had no idea of the signing. That should give you an idea of who is driving the bus (Baalke). Yorks speech about winning with class was BS. Jerome Simpson has like 5 arrests in the last few years. He has no clue about what is going on. All he cares about is $$$.

York'z mantra is to pass the buck, he is as much responsible for this mess as anybody. He is the one who wants to pull the strings. Just look at the head coach "search" when Baalke had a deal in place with Adam Gase to become the next head coach and had approved his choice of coordinators which meant Fangio would have returned. Gets on a plane back to the Bay and all of a sudden now Gase's hiring is contingent on Tomsula becoming D-coordinator? Baalke and Harbaugh had issues, but York had much more to do with this firing.

I also would not be surprised to see the Niners have a good year, as painful as it was to watch them try and throw the ball all over the place last season, it could end up paying off in the long run towards Kaep's development.

I don't see them being any better than 9-7. They have a pretty tough schedule and the NFC west is arguably the best division in the NFL. I think as far as talent goes the niners and the Rams are pretty equal. The other 3 teams have very good coaching staffs. We will see though. At this point I'm going 9-7 as their ceiling.

thehookup55,
I disagree. I think they are much more talented than the Rams. It didn't show last year because of off the field issues and injuries. They have 9-11 potential pro-bowlers on that team. They had like 9 prior to last season. They led the NFL in pro bowl selections for a few years.

In short, there is a ton of talent on this team. The defense was top 5 in the NFL, despite not having Willis or Bowman last year. I believe they will be right there in the thick of things.

pass the crack! (9-7)
if they were to go 7-9, that would be a major step in the right direction for team that many figure on 5/6 wins max.
last year's team with issues got to 8-8
the issues haven't gone away, they have compounded - so next year 5/6 wins would be realistic as they try and re-build for the future.
i think they will still play conference teams tough though...

That OL pick was awful. Pure desperation. He was ranked last out of like 45 guards in the NFL. No wonder Buffalo sent him packing. He better hope for some talent on the OL in the draft...

Have to agree. And the Wright and Cook signings are no better. 49ers need OL help bad and CB help even worse. Going to have to get really smart or really lucky in the later rounds of the draft.

I think the Bush pick up is solid. Compliments Hyde really well. I like that they are going after big play guys. Torrey Smith is a true deep threat which is something they havnt had in a very long time. Bush will be a big factor in the passing game. They have to get some exciting players to fill the seats at Levi. The OL addition is nothing. He is basically a guy that can play both Tackle positions if needed and even Guard. Staley Looney Martin Kilgore Boone and Davis are enough talent. They dont need to waste a pick in the first 3 rounds on OL. CB and WR are their biggest concerns.
