As we head into Senior Night at TheR,…when was the last time ANY WCAL TEAM went undefeated?

Last year’s Riordan squad went undefeated in WCAL play and swept the CCS Open for the CCS Title.
 
Great conjecture, but it seems as others have posted this year’s team is more deliberate & focused and the Coaching Staff is on Point.

I only heard of the fan support and school spirit of the Isola era. But I personally can attest Not seeing a entrance line three/four wide and extending out to the front of the school to the gym entrance for the last generation of TheR Boys Basketball Games.

I remember one time, maybe even back in the late 70’s or the 80’s…. The Riordan-SI game was held at Kezar…. Might have even been a playoff game, I dunno… It WAS a long time ago…. I can’t even remember who won. The place was packed, both bands going…. Crazy atmosphere, the experience was incredible!

@kiddman32 , You are correct. Games in the 70’s and 80’s vs the City Holy Trinity schools - SI, Riordan and SH were played at Kezar, and at times, USF. These games packed fans in the upper rafters. Some old timers even mentioned kids peered through the glass on the roof!
 
The 2025 Riordan team is the 10th Boys team to go undefeated in League. It is the 5th Riordan team to go undefeated in league.

So this year’s Riordan squad is the 5th WCAL boys team since 2010 to go undefeated in league.
 
This Riordan team might be the best team in San Francisco High School history. Period. Point Blanke. I challenge someone to find a team who is beating the 2 and 3 seed in the CCS by 20+ points a game?

The true challenge will be CIF….but until then I see Riordan just rolling through CCS with no issues

1985 12 Wins No Losses, won WCAL Playoffs, CCS Division 1 Champions
