IMO ( I could be Bias) Edison (Stockton) might have caught up to the Gridley Tournament (with all due respect).

Edison Classic is LOADED this year .

Unfortunately, they fall on the same weekend.

Edison
Central (Fresno)
Vanden
Grant
Inderkum
Gregori
Oakland Tech
Folsom

Dec 9-11th

Inviting all the basketball fans out to a great 3 days of hoops.
Media Coverage will be covered

Solid line up teams for sure but the history and tradition of the gridley tournament is unmatched as the best
Pre season tournament. but there is nothing Wrong with having 2 quality tournaments going at the same time!

Not even close? Im sure if you line it up, the teams in the Edison Classic match up pretty well vs the teams in the Gridley...

@bones40 I agree 100% about the history and tradition, we have an eternity to catch that. I'm just a new small fish trying to bring more good competition to norcal and trying to bring awareness that there is great Hoops happening Dec 9-11.

Just to add a little history for you Coach.
During the annual Gridley turnament.
These other torunaments took place the same weekend.
Jesuit tournament
De La Salle tournament
Folsom tournament.
Yuba City tournament
Eureka tournament
These are just a few that I remember off the top of my head. There were several more.
Welcome to the Club.

Here's wishing you great hoops

I have to stand with @CoachDViks. I never wanted to compete with the west coast jamboree. but at one point i had the biggest lower level tournament comprised of 64 lower teams that made it WCJ like with 8 divisions from elite programs to rebuilding in northern California When I was at Antioch. Edison can vouch as they came a few years. IN fact me @ClayK was trying to put the two together at one point because he trusted me and my abilities to work together. Now I will never say I'm on the level of WCJ because of some of the things mentioned as referred to the Gridley tournament. But If you don't have confidence in marketing your own brand then you might is well not do it! I had top programs that would have never set foot in a local school. But when you are able to bring quality teams to your events it really means that your are building relationships with these coaches that will go beyond basketball, and it also means the basketball family is expanding and showing support. My Elite bracket my last year was Modesto Christian, St. Mary's Stockton, C-Let, St Ignatius, Heritage, Sac, O dowd. and that was JV!!!!!! But again these coaches would not put there kids in anything that is not going to create a positive experience along with study competition if they did not trust you as a coach.

There will never be Another Michael Jordan but there is a Kobe, a Durant, a Lebron, Zion, yall get the point lol
As long as youre organized and structured and you have a good heart people will come and support you! at the End of the day its about the kids and if we can provide multiple places to get the same service then we all win!! Happy tuesday lol signing off. Dr Phil LOL
