Down here for the annual tradition. Lincoln leads 51-0 in the 3rd in another annual blowout. Pre Game rib tradition tailgate was well worth the trip. Off to meal #2.
Big Bone Game

Why would anyone want to change the Big Bone - its been been a 77 year history and Lincoln has given several playoff spots recently to keep the Big Bone Tradition. That being said, the last time San Jose won the Big Bone was in 1997 - 21 years ago. The closest game in this recent time period was in 2014 when Lincoln squeaked out a 29-28 OT victory. The tradition is a fun time but in reality it is way better for San Jose than it is for Lincoln.
What I didn't know is that there is a Little Bone game too. Apparently it is the bowl for the JV squads. This year, it was supposed to be have been played November 9th but it must have canceled or postponed due to San Jose AQI.

I know having it one Thanksgiving helps with the non football activities, but why not move it to a non league game? Maybe over a long weekend like Labor Day?
