We all know the Bay Area's own Kyree Walker. One of the best Freshman to ever play the game in Bay Area history. Ends up transferring to Hillcrest Prep and the rest is history.
So I just looked it up and he's pretty old for a junior. He's already 18. So that would make him eligible for one of those new G-League "professional path" contracts. I personally think after this season ends, he's going to be one of those to get one of those deals. It's 125K for 5 months of basketball.
My question is do you think there are any other players from the Bay Area that might make the same choice?
Someone like Jordan Brown easily would have gotten one of those "professional path" contracts and could be sitting on the bench making 125K, instead of sitting on the bench for Nevada and making zero dollars and zero cents.
Thoughts?
