Edison-Stockton 5-foot-9 freshman running back Raleek Brown hasn't disappointed in his inaugural high school campaign with more than 1,900 total yards and 23 total touchdowns in the regular season. He added three more scores in a 52-7 win over Gregori on Friday.

Brown, considered one of the top freshmen prospects in the state, is a dual threat back. Playing in shotgun formations, Brown hits the hole assertively with excellent feet in traffic to avoid the first hit. From there, he gets to top speed well and looks to break outside for big gains. Brown has very good body control in making his cuts.

He has been positioned outside as a true wide receiver attacking downfield on vertical routes. He has the skill set to be a legit pass catching running back.

There isn't much evidence of pass blocking pro or con with Brown.

He is a future Power 5 recruit who will be involved in the national ranking conversation especially if he gets a little bigger.

Edison will play at Folsom next week.
