BVAL Predictions 1/15

Heritage over Liberty, this should be the best game of the night in this league. Heritage is to well coached and to deep to lose this one but expect it to be much closer then expected. Don't look a head to the Freedom match up next week or you will get beat.

Freedom over Antioch- One sided game here.

Pitt over Deer Valley- Good match up for both teams, is Deer Valley 8-5 cause of a soft schedule? Is Pitt making strides in the right direction?

Only problem with Freedom is that they tend to play to the level of their opposition. Played incredibly and beat Folsom and MV, played really well and barely lost to a strong Manteca team, but beat an average Fairfield team by just 3 and their 12-point win over a pretty bad Turlock team was much closer than the final score indicates (I was there, game was fugly, and was close until the last few minutes).

If they play like they *should* be able to play, they should beat Antioch handily, maybe even badly. If they "play down" to their opponent, an upset is not impossible.

Still, I'll go with Freedom to get the W.
Heritage in a battle
Even though it's at Deer Valley and Pitt is coming off a huge win at home v. Oakland Tech and could play "flat" tonight, I think Pitt will remember what a rivalry this used to be and kick into high gear.

I'll take Heritage in a dogfight over the Lions, but it could go either way.

Freedom will ring.

I'll take Pitt on the road over DV. Pitt is 9-6, but has some very close losses to some good teams.
They lost to Foothill by 5, Dougherty by 1, and Dublin in OT. They could easily be 11-4 with a few good bounces.
