Big one here…. Campo heads down to Dublin…

I’ve talked a-plenty about the Cougs on here…. they bring in a 21-7 record.

Dublin is a young squad starting one soph and a pair of juniors. They are 22-8 and seem to be on a roll right now…. Unfortunately, I have none of their stats. But I remember being impressed by #2 Jalen Stokes, a junior swingman at 6’5”.

6’7 sophomore F/C Cameron Anderson is a load down low.

Winner will face the winner of the Berzerkeley-Liberty game.

Big gym, little crowd…

Stokes nails a 3 to start.. 3-0 Dublin.

Dublin rebound…

and Landon Fly takes a charge!

Tim Smith nice post move… 3-2.

Smith rebounds a Stoke miss…

Gavin Rendle nails a 3!! 5-3 Cougs.

Ramir Raymore inside to tir it at 5…. 5:23 left 1st.

Nice move by Mansour, but he’s swatted.. and Stokes makes it 7-5.

Raymore again…. 9-5.

Fly drives, reverse layup…. 9-7 Dublin.

Smith with a ball fake, draws a shooting foul…. FT’s both good…. tied at 9. 2:07 left 1st.

Stokes driving score…. 11-9.

Cougs lose it over the baseline.

Dylan Youngquist scores inside for Dublin…. Dublin steal! Rendle fouls to stop the break…

Dublin makes it 13-9…

Missed how that happened…. And that’s the quarter, 13-9 Dublin.

Finally, we go again…

Dublin score by Stokes. 15-9.

Cougs answer…. 15-11.

Dublin bad entry pass, out of bounds.

Marchetti for 2…. 15-13.

Stokes backdoor…. 17-13.

Dublin knocks it off a Cougar…

Youngquist fouled on the way up.. FT’s both missed, but Jaiden Jones rebounds for Dublin and scores…. 19-13.

Pass inside to Smith, he’s fouled on the way up…. both missed.

Jaiden Jones with a 3…. Dublin steal, eventual score…. Suddenly it’s 24-13, Cougs call time.

4:20 left…

Dublin rebounds a miss, fast break Dublin…. Stokes misses, spectacularly rebounds his own miss and scores…

Smith scores inside for the Cougs. 26-15.

Cougs rebound…

and turnover.

Nice turnaround J by Raymore…. 28-15.

Stokes rebound, Mile Pollard scores for Dublin…. 30-15. Cougs just trying to prevent a runaway at this point. 2:27 left in the half.

Stokes with a Wilsonburger, but Dublin throws it away…

Stokes with a 3…. 33-15.

Dublin steal by Isaiah Wong, he scores…. 35-15.

And that’s half….

I need a beer. Or five.

I understand Anderson didn’t play for Dublin. Will he be available for Liberty on Tuesday?

Last night was my first time catching Dublin and walked away impressed especially since Anderson didn't play. They have a really nice balanced team - not exactly a news flash but the EBAL is no joke as this team finished in fifth place in that brutal league. They are also quite young and bring most everyone back next year. They sure made Campo look average which doesn't happen very often.
