I wondered myself last season, when MM hung 100 on Campo. I don't want to sound like an apologist, and I'm not inside any coach's head, but I doubt that there's bad blood, or that it's personal. If a team plays up-tempo, there aren't a lot of opportunities in practice to work on rhythm and player connections in the full court. A few starters on the floor may be the lubricant that makes the engine run. I think we should give the coach the benefit of the doubt, and he/she is doing what's best, in his/her mind, for the team. In Campo's case, there is definitely a post-season run on the agenda.
I plan to attend this season's Campo/MM games.
