Good schedule for a good team ... but the question, as with many teams, is whether they'll wind up in Open.

Clay makes a good point. If the league season for CN is anything like last year, they really don't get tested during the course of the NBL. That being said if they are placed in the open it's somewhat of a different pace game offensively and defensively. I realize CN has size, but can those bigs play at an accelerated pace in an uptempo game for an extended period of time? Hopefully their challenging preseason schedule gives them experience against high caliber opponents.

CN has a legit shot of 16-0(counting league playoffs) with 16 running clocks in league play. How focused they stay towards the end of league will determine if they can pull it off obviously. CN's stiffest competition will come from the usual challengers, Montgomery and Santa Rosa once again.
The coaching staff recognizes the concern that CLAY and Sjbasket brought up and its why they have scheduled SMS and the MLK@SMS during NBL play.

One note: The CN girls played a very challenging summer AAU session playing for the Cal Storm North Bay. They went against high caliber, athletic, up tempo teams all summer and did just fine.
The only time they DONT play teams like that is in NBL play.

For a veteran team like CN, understanding the opponent isn't that difficult, nor is rising to the occasion.

But losing some of those preseason games doesn't hurt, as that might keep them in DIV,
