Carmel High junior TE receiving multiple offers

He is a great athlete (and a better person), besides football and basketball, he is also a very good baseball player. He will have some decisions to make next year in what sport(s) he wants to pursue at the next level.

There were quite a few basketball recruiters (Cal Poly, UC Davis and one other) at the Palma v Carmel PCAL Gab final game. I assume they were there to see Carmel's Sr. Kai Lee and Jr. Byrne, and Palma's Jr. Garabay and Soph Finley had good games. Byrne may have options in two sports.

I just noticed this kid was second leading passer for Carmel completing 33-51 passes for 560 yds 6 TDs and 0 Int's. Does he possibly play QB next year?

Probably not but wondering if he will move around to QB and TE next season. He played QB when their starter was out. I think Kai Raine Lee had a shot to play QB in college but probably more a basketball prospect but could play football at some level if he chooses. Byrne may have opportunity in football and basketball (scouts were looking at him and Lee in basketball). Byrne may has a shoot in baseball as well.

Kai wants to play basketball. He has not picked up a football since the last game. I agree he is a great athlete and with some coaching and practice could easily play QB somewhere a the next level. But he want to pursue basketball.

JT will have some decisions to make as to pursue Football, Basketball or even baseball. My guess is his baseball season is over and due to the long run in the playoffs he will not have played a game this season. As far as next year goes, he may be playing QB. If that is the case he will be played sparingly on Defense. If they decide to go with another QB, (there is another decent QB on the roster), Carmel would let JT play both TE and LB.
