For sure. Agreed completely.
SF preps was great..people loved it. But also speaking from someone from one of the holy trinity schools that were all boys then, we talked and walked like that. I can see how the newer generations have it tapered down a bit since girls are at the schools. But the rivalries are intense that is for sure, and one can say also there is no school spirit anymore which was a cherished event back then and something the kids now can not relate to. I do admit it gets heated in some of the forums and it is overkill in some cases. Don't forget, some of the schools mentioned have been competing, fighting, winning and losing from the 1800s in San Francisco and that is a special thing too. Some of the other schools do not have this tradition or history in athletics or as a city recognized in the US. Yes no matter the win loss record you should be proud of your school just like your heritage. Maybe you can look at it another way also, without fans, SF preps wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. Many people who blogged contributed to the donation fund too.
