Looks like Independence is performing as expected. Soledad had a pretty good team a few years ago but not the team they were.
SI gets in with 3 wins and out with 8 losses. Their JV's had one win while their Frosh was 0-9.Final: Sacred Heart Prep 13, St. Ignatius 7
I think Live Oak will have a tough time against Sacred Heart Cathedral and good shot for WCAL to get to finals.

Sure looks that way. Maybe SI can play Half-Baked Moon Bay for the "3-Win consolation Bowl". Sure didn't hear much from GotF this year, did we?Do you get the feeling that football is becoming less and less a priority at SI?

Sure looks that way. Irish are improving in football, soccer and baseball. Here's hoping the B-M Trophy stays at SHC for a good, long time.
CCS went with enrollment divivions and seeding with points due to never getting their best teams in bowl. It is the lessor of evils but you can take any other section and firt round games are typically mismatches. Just look at Folsom first round. The system is as good as ever been, plus it is an open divisions where only A leagues can compete unless lessor league team opts up and has the points to make it.CCS playoff ranking/point system is responsible for this mismatch.
SHC solid varsity but down to two teams. I would respectfully stay away from saying program improving in football. Soccer on rise; basketball way down, baseball many holes after surprisingly tough year, though I hear solid freshman class.Sure looks that way. Irish are improving in football, soccer and baseball. I definitely saw an improvement this season, even without a JV team. The Frosh had a good team too. Players want to play for a winning program. Who beat the other two City teams? Who ended-up in the cellar?SHC down to two teams. I would respectfully stay away from saying program improving in football. You may see other City WCAL schools down to two football teams in next three to five years (maybe Bay Area wide, soon thereafter).
