Santiago is ranked higher by MaxPreps, has a higher strength-of-schedule rating…

But these two met back in December, and Tech won 62-57.

Just before Santiago lost to O Tech, they played new D3 champ Los Osos, and lost by 10.

Santiago has also played Etiwanda, Windward, etc…

Tech had an 11-4 lead about halfway thru the 1st, but Santiago fought back and lead 15-14 after 1q.

The officiating in this game is some of the worst I’ve seen in a long time. I’m not saying Tech isn’t fouling but they’re getting hammered too and nothing.

I watched the 1st half and the score is Oakland Tech 35, Santiago 28. The game is extremely physical with fouls galore. Both teams are streaky and go on significant runs.

The players aren’t adjusting very well, playing wild and rough. Awful hard game to call…. want to see everyone foul out?

Happy for Oakland Tech!!! They earned every bit of it. You can see the relationship the coach has with all of his players. He coaches the entire team not just the stars. If you watch Leroy with CA Ballaz he might get on them but it's never to tear his girls down and make them lose their confidence. It's always to bring the dog out in them so when they are in tight moments they aren't afraid. Leroy truly has love for those girls and the girls responded. Props to Oakland Tech!

Oakland Tech has their three stars on their front line returning next season but they are graduating their top four guards. If they can find some competent ball handlers next season, they should probably be the top team in the NCS.
