My crack at the top 2 Divsions.
1. D1- Oak Ridge was a much better team last year and Folsom is improved IMO. I would love for it to be close but I don't see that happening. Look for the Bulldogs to roll 42-10.
2. D2- This will be a great game. Rocklin had a rude awakening last year vs Grant but the Thunder seem to have put a few really good games together since the OR loss. Honestly a bit of a toss up to me but I will say Grant prevails in a thriller. 42-40.
Also, as I've been saying all year, twelve bridges needs to move up. They are the most misclassified team in the section. And they will continue to be loaded. Only loss on JV was to Folsom. Shouldn't be in D4.
OR has improved more than most teams over the season. That is how Casey does it. He plays a tough pre-season and then his teams just get tougher each week. You are right; they were more talented last season, but this team has done it when it counted so far. I hope we see an upset, but the NFL team in Folsom is too talented.
OR will be very good next year. They return nearly everyone and have a great Fresh-Jr class.
Folsom is just way to talented. Last year was OR year to upset them and they were so close. I don't think it's very close in the finals this week.
I think Patterson who played in the VOL is battled tested and can score. CalPreps not sure why they have it 90 percent in favor of 12 Bridges.
I love their QB. He is fun to watch. He reminds me of the kid from Kimball Coranado think his name. I am an Oakdale Homer. But I love high school football. That's how I met Carl. And Champ. I enjoyed watching Chanp's Hillman go into Central Catholic and beat them in their own house. The same year I got to watch Carl's Knights beat Central Catholic. But then Central Catholic went on to win the Small school state bowl game that year.. High school football is great!
