The list of national offers for these guys is just starting, it will likely blow up over the next year.

Will Joe Ngata be the highest recruited player to come out of the area? I've said it before if he stays healthy he's a pro. Not even an argument. He would start for most top 20 programs right now.

Both kids seem fundamental sound at there respective positions and are extremely athletic with good speed and hands, at least in the couple of games I watched last year. I see both transitioning well in college and maybe beyond. To me what I believe to be interesting is the system they play in. The system puts both kids along with others in a position to make plays (in space). Had they been in a different system I wander if they get the same exposure. My guess is yes but I'm still not sure mainly because over the years, especially in NorCal, I have seen so many amazingly talented kids get little to no recognition from major college programs and eventually they had to walk on or go the juco route. Either way I'm glad to see another kid get a chance to further his education.

Agreed. I think we will see a lot of local kids play on Sunday. Najee Harris (Antioch) and Jonah Willams (folsom) who are both at Bama will play in the league. Also the TE from Indurkum (Falo) who is at USC has huge upside. I could see him being a star one day.

Both these 2 brothers are amazing and I can't wait for the season to begin. Could be one of the greatest teams in SJS history.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Oklahoma guard Dru Samia (SRV) in NFL in a couple years

Lots of talent in Sacramento and some really well ran programs.
Top notch coaching and developing of kids both in the class room and on the field.

Gone are the days where you had to go to 1 or 2 school(s) to be seen.
There is a group of 8-10 high schools that every single recruiter stops by to see. We are so close to the airport that we see probably 100 plus different schools every recruiting period.

Lots of big time head coaches visiting these schools yearly, that only happened once every 3-5 years for a long time. Now its nothing for us to have 10+ different schools stop by in one day. Shoot last week on Tuesday we had two pac12, two mountain west , Cal Poly, Yale and Princeton. Sacramento is no longer a hidden gem, its a requried stop by all schools.

I wonder if my Buckeyes have even the slightest shot at him. I'd certainly love to see Urban get a commitment from him.

Unless he ends up as the #1 recruit in the Nation, nope.

Kevin Wilhite was the consensus top recruit in 1981. He was even named National HS player of the year over Bo Jackson and Marcus Dupree. Think about that for minute.

But Joe Ngata is damn good in his own right.

The Sacramento area has had its share of elite recruits the past few years (Shaq, Armstead, Vanderdos, Jonah Williams).

I thought Washington and USC were the teams to beat for Joe Ngata, but some of these national offers are hard to turn down

That is crazy. Bo Jackson and Dupree were on a different planet. That 30 for 30 on Dupree is still wild to me. But yeah Ngata is really good. He has tremendous size at wideout. I would say he's damn near 6"4 from last I saw him and a frame that can add weight.

Both the Ngata brothers are crazy good on the football field. But does anyone know what kind of students they are?
