Sacred Heart Prep senior RB/LB Tevita Moimoi announced on January 26 that he will attend Dartmouth and play football there. Moimoi was one of the top players in the CCS this past season.
He projects better on defense, so lets start there. He has good size at 6-foot-0 and 220 pounds, reads plays well and takes good angles to track down the ball. While he is physical, he is adept at not getting hung up on blocks.
Moimoi is most effective in the box, but has natural movements dropping into zones in the middle of the field and cutting to disrupt passing lanes.
At running back, he is a straight ahead runner who can make a quick cut to extend plays. He is a good receiving threat too. Moimoi has enough speed to break some big plays.
As a senior, he rushed for 1,013 yards and 17 touchdowns. He added 91 tackles on defense.
Dartmouth went 9-1 last year and finisned in a tie for first in the Ivy League with Yale.
