De la Salle 2025 schedule

Cupcake schedule
Who else could they play this season? DLS isn’t SJB where they can play 4 out of state teams. DLS is only allowed 1 trip per season. They have an out of state opponent and a SoCal team that’s something they haven’t had since 2021. The only “weak” game I see on the schedule is El Cerrito and that game was supposed to be Grant but they backed out last second which left DLS scrambling for another game. There’s only a handful of teams in NorCal that want to play DLS right now. I which DLS could play more SoCal teams and teams from out of state but i hate to break it to you but DLS isn’t a football school like people think it is.

Agree with you!…. This is a very good schedule, would of course prefer to see Grant or Folsom or even Riordan instead of El Cerrito….

Grant didn’t back out of the Game, DLS only option to play Lakeland was 8/29 which was originally going to be at Grant…. DLS hoped Grant could do 9/26, but Grant could not because they are completing a Home and Home with SD Lincoln on 9/27… It is my understanding DLS will play at Grant next year…..

Folsom would not schedule DLS on 9/26 because they will be playing in league and didn’t want a Non League game mixed in with their league games so that game was off the table…. They are going try to play next year,

There was interest on both sides with Riordan for a game but 9/26 was not an option for Riordan, so they set up the scrimmage instead…..

This is the last year for the contracts with Serra, SF and ST Mary’s so next years schedule may look quite different from what I have heard, but DLS has such deep relationships with those schools who knows….

It’s becoming tough for DLS to play the WCAL and SFL teams because of the size of those leagues they only have 3 or 4 open days and DLS has 6, but DLS wants to venture out of Nor Cal for games and those tend to have to happen early which is when the WCAL and SFL teams have their open dates….

Case in point, SDCC is loaded up this year and wanted to play DLS and agreed to modify their schedule to play them in October so DLS jumped on that game….

Overall, great schedule, If DLS can manage to beat Lakeland and run the Table should be an easy choice for the open….

Grant didn’t back out of the game. Those are fighting words! Lol

As someone previously stated, DLS postponed to play Lakeland from FL.

DLS is definitely a football school whose tradition and reputation speak for itself.

I'm guessing you're trolling lol

DLS administration doesn’t care about CIF titles or NCS banners compared to other Top 25 teams. If they did they would’ve fired Coach A after the disaster 2022 season. This isn’t 2002 anymore, DLS doesn’t need football to thrive like how it once did. DLS obviously cares more about their football team than MV, SRV, CAL and CV but compared to real national teams they fall behind.

DLS should definitely try to find a NorCal team to replace SF next season. They’ve played them every year since 2017 it’s time for some new blood. I think DLS should keep Serra and St marys on the schedule for an another 2 years. Been hearing Serra will have one of their top squads in 26 on paper and they’ve beaten DLS 2 out of the last 3 times one being 28-0 and DLS probably won’t find any NorCal opponents willing to play them besides Riordan and Folsom who I expect to be on the 26 schedule

They didn't fall behind. Everyone caught up. They STILL are kings of the vast land between the grapevine to the Oregon border. And from san Diego to Mexico. They just can't compete with certain area.

De la salle plays the toughest schedule in nor cal yearly

They played grant, san Ramon, st Mary, serra, sf, Pittsburg last year

Granted there record vs 5 of the big 6 mater dei, St John Bosco, Gorman, st Francis academy and st Thomas Aquinas over the last 10 years is 1-9

They still never ducked no one and play everyone who wants to play them

Lakeland in Florida was a top team in Florida last year top 10 in state and finished 49 in the country.

I mean de la salle the only nor cal team that will consistently play so cal and out of state teams.

But I hope they still play serra and sf and st mary

Saint Francis beat them a couple years back but the other games wasn't competitive

Serra beat de la salle two of the last 3 even tho last year wasn't competitive

St Mary beat them a couple years ago and only lost by 14 and 3 the last two years.

So I like de la salle schedule I do wish they played Folsom or Riordan tho

But if they beat Lakeland they probably will be undefeated again in nor cal and play in the open

DLS doesn’t recruit as intensely as it did 20 years ago. That’s the difference. If they did, they would still be playing a national schedule. Teams didn’t necessarily catch up, though some have improved. DLS deemphasized recruiting. They still get talent, but they aren’t getting it like they used to

Let’s not get it twisted-- DLS is still a NorCal powerhouse. The culture, the discipline, and the consistency haven’t gone anywhere.

The difference is that schools like Mater Dei and Bosco figured out how to capitalize on the SoCal Pop Warner-to-high school pipeline and turned their programs into AAU-style football factories. They’ve built year-round recruiting machines that mirror what we see in elite travel basketball.

That doesn’t mean DLS has fallen off. It means that MD/Bosco have shifted the landscape. Many question the ethics behind it!

DLS is still producing D1 talent, still competing at a high level, and still the gold standard for NorCal. Just because the program isn’t chasing transfers and CIF rings the way others do doesn’t mean they’ve lost relevance.

Also they never had a monopoly on talent. MD and Bosco do.

Pretty accurate. They are still the best team north of Bakersfield. But that says more about the competition than it does about the Spartans.

30?+ yrs of being the Big Dawg in Norcal is one hell of a run. A hiccup or 2 outside the NCS doesn't negate the DLS dominance.

Are they the same squad as 20yrs ago? No...

But i don't know any school that could keep that level of dominance going. I would even be bold enough to say that squads like Mater Dei or Bishop Gorman would have issues keeping up that level for 20yrs.
