Del Oro baseball to forfeit 8 wins

Del Oro was 17-8 and sitting in third place in the Sierra Foothill League but a violation of the Sac-Joaquin Section bylaws resulted in eight forfeits for the Golden Eagles. The school is in the process of an appeal.

Ridiculous. It’s an assistant coach and sounds like he served the suspension. A unchecked box/simple clerical error should not costs the kids 8 games.
