The game will be at the Dawg Pound;) or whatever they call that stadium in Folsom where visitor wins in recent history have been non existent.

While DO is 2-2 they were just a few good defensive plays away from wins in both the Punahou & Bellarmine games, two very good teams, and could easily be 4-0. Arguably DO is the best 2-2 team in NorCal.

Folsom while not the team they were last year(lot of D1 players graduated) is averaging similar rushing yards per game and only ~100 yards per game less receiving vs last year. Where Folsom is still averaging more than double the national average in receiving ypg and they are 4-0, the 100 less ypg receiving is having little to no impact on their results.

Del Oro is averaging 45ypg more receiving and 50ypg more rushing vs last year and this with as tough a pre-league as last year. While numbers only tell part of the story, having seen all of DO's games last & this year they are, overall, a better team than last year.

I've seen some great playoff games @Folsom. Most memorable game was the 2005 Rocklin vs DO section title game where DO won by a field goal. Then there was the 2009 DO vs Folsom semi-final where Dano Graves had the Dawgs up 35-7 at halftime and DO can back and won that game 43-42 thanks to, in part, a missed Folsom field goal that hit the cross bar that would have sealed the game for Folsom. And finally the 2009 Grant/Rocklin quarter final game where Rocklin had that incredible goal line stand.

While this is not a playoff game I expect Loomis to show up in force creating a playoff atmosphere. Going to be a good one. GO DO!!

Do you happen to know if this game is going to be streamed? This is the game to see this weekend!

You are absolutely right - Folsom is near what they were last year, and although they don't have Browning, their QB is solid and run game may be better - ran well vs GB! Del Oro's offense is clicking behind a great line, WRs and QB, and although their defense let them down against Bellarmine in final minute, they will be tough as usual. Gonna be a great game, bummer won't make it, but will try to hook into stream if there is one.

Folsom's defense is not nearly as dominate as it was last year and their offense not as good either. I think this game could go either way, but I definitely always pull for Folsom. I think the SFL title is up for grabs this year.

I've seen both teams play and I think the board in general is a little off on Folsom. We are use to seeing a top 5 type team in the state. That isn't going to happen this year but don't be fooled. This team is a lot better than most of you are giving them credit for. Their Oline is incredible and there run game is better than in previous years. The "Other" Jake at QB is incredibly mobile and with exception of Book at Oak Ridge, he is one of the better QB's in the sac area. Defensively they are weaker than in the past. That is there achilles heal from a year ago. I want to say they lost 18 starters or something like that. DO has played a great schedule and could easily be 4-0 if they finished out some games. A guy like UDOFFIA could be the difference. Folsom needs to limit the big plays. IF they do that I like them 35-31 in this one. Should be a great game.

Even though I'm a CCS guy, I'd really like to watch this one if a stream is available somewhere. I think Folsom's offense puts too many points up for DO to keep up, 45-28.

Winner of this game gets a state title?

Winner most likely wins the SFL, then goes through an easier section bracket to repeat the same game for the section finals -- though it may be Grant, but I'm guessing that Grant will be in D2 (could be off on that one). Then, the winner plays the D1 winner from the south, and last I checked, there was not a lot going on south of Bakersfield for D1 -- all the big boys are in the Trinity league and will eat each other up on the way to the Open finals, where they will play DLS.

So, go to the game Friday to get a preview of the Section finals and state champion! ;)

This game WILL be good. You can count on that...

I predict Folsom to win (of course), but I would not be surprised if DO pulled off the upset. DO has a great team this year.

The game favors Folsom due to the game being at home and in front of their home crowd. As Larry said, it should be a crazy playoff atmosphere. I think Folsom's ability to run the ball and control the clock will ultimately decide this game. DO made some critical mistakes in their only two losses. If that happens again, the game could be out of reach early.

Can't wait til Friday!

Except that there is apparently a new rule that states all D-I league champs must play in D-I (Cal-Hi reported that) so Grant may/should end up in D-I. Also, there's another section champ that the SJS winner must play.... where was that section located? Oh, yeah... the CCS... where Bellarmine plays... who beat Del Oro a couple of weeks ago.

Talk about getting ahead of yourself.

Yes, I was also thinking about the Bay area teams would be in the mix as well before the State games. So I am hoping Folsom keeps winning but would not bet my savings on it.

This may be Folsom's last true test until maybe the semifinals of the playoffs. Del Oro is a pretty solid team. I think they have a good chance at getting the win. Should be a really good game.

Yes, I'm not sure if I'm going to stay and watch at home, go to the game, or DVR the game and watch a different game. I moved to the other side of Sacramento, so a farther ride to see SFL games now. I went to the Granite Bay-Folsom game last week though.

Yes, I know, should be the best game of the year. But I think I will record that game and go to watch Elk Grove play Grant. It should be a great game as well.

G61- Is this at Folsom or DO? I will be there for sure if its local but DO isn't exactly that far either. Can't wait for this one. Doesn't get much better.

As far as I know DO is healthy. How about Folsom, all healthy? Want to see both teams full strength.

Looks like Huber is Folsom's goto WR with 33 catches and 542yards total averaging 16yards per catch which is flat out impressive. Also looks like the passes get spread around pretty well with 10 different players making catches.

DO's Udoffia with 14 catches is averaging 26 yards per catch.

If this is going to be a shoot out obviously Folsom has more targets. DO's secondary is better than last year but key for DO is to get pressure on QB.

Is Jake more of a pocket or mobile passer?

Weather should be perfect.

Folsom is healthy.

The new Jake is a bit of everything. He is a dual threat QB who can throw on the move or from the pocket. He was a standout WR on last years team. Great athlete.

This should be an epic game. Beautiful venue on the bulldog turf in Folsom!

The qb jake is the real deal. He would have started for virtually every team last year at qb. He just happened to play behind a top prospect in the country. I wouldn't be surprised if he played at the next level. I don't think it will be that high scoring. Maybe I'm wrong but I could see in the high 20's or low 30's. Folsom isn't as high powered as before. Udoffia can beat you so if folsom is smart which I think they are they won't kick to him. Don't let a guy like that in open space.

This game hinges on the success of Folsom's qb and receivers. The O line appears to be very solid.

I agree. I think the game will be decided on the O line. Folsom will try to control the clock by running it.

Either way, two great teams squaring off! We are so lucky up here!
