Division IV: West Campus vs. Los Osos

Teams look really evenly-matched.. Should be a good one.

I have picked WC, for the record.

Both teams look to have settled in really well. Any jitters anyone may had are clearly gone and they're playing hard.

West Campus leads 17-15 end Q1. Rones with a halfcourt shot at the buzzer.

Good flow to the 10 AM game.

Agree Kiddman. Seems like this will be a pretty even matchup throughout

Long 3 at the buzzer by WC, looked like she got it off too late to me, but it is counted

West Campus is on a 10-2 run to take a 22-17 lead with 529 left Q2

Rones has 11 points for WC, but the Warriors are just 2-for-8 from the line

WC is starting to win the 50-50 balls... Again, this is great ball. Good movement with and without the ball, good screens, etc.

West Campus leads 29-21 with 247 left Q2. WC has a +12 advantage at the three point line

West Campus is also +14 on the boards. Los Osos needs to stay in zone to guard West Campus, but really struggling to get defensive rebounds in it

Los Osos scores five points in final 32 seconds to trail West Campus 33-28 at halftime.

Seeing stats is just about the only problem I have with this otherwise amazing arena... No matter where you are (except the ends), one or both of the stat boards are obstructed.

Where are they? Do you have to see both? Just asking in case it affects my seat choice tonight ;)

42-38 West Campus with 401 left in Q3. 2 early threes in the second half for Los Osos.

They are in the corners of the arena. Yes, about the only thing that I don't like about this place.

.

There is one board for each team, at the west end of the arena. Both have an overhang right next to them, and that overhang gets in the way of the one on your side of the arena. For example, right now from center court on the bench side, I can see the stats of Los Osos, but not West Campus.

49 all heading into Q4. Freshman Breanne Ha was 4-for-5 that quarter on 3 pointers for Los Osos

56-50 West Campus with 527 left Q4 following a three point play from Kiara Jefferson. She has 21 points on 9-for-11 shooting with 7 rebounds

West Campus leads Los Osos 59-55 with 201 left. Los Osos ball coming out of the timeout

West Campus wins its first state title with a 63-55 win over Los Osos.

The Warriors' only loss this year with their full team was to St. Mary's-Stockton

Notice how Ha was super hot in the first half facing the closed end of the horseshoe
...Ha was almost nonexistent second half facing the open end of the horseshoe...
for HS kids...Golden 1 tough shooting into the open end...going right to left on the Comcast broadcast...

I made the statement that West Campus would go all the way to a state title in February. Glad to see it happen. Next year they may be D3 or D2 level. Do you think they could be placed in D1 under the new format next year?

I don't get your open end comment. There is more glass at one end but it's very high and all but invisible from the floor. There are the same number of rows of seats that extend way above the top of the backboard from the players' perspective.
