And I did such a fantastic job on the first half in the wrong place…

Quick recap, DLS returned a missed FG 100 yards to the house to end the 1st half, it’s 21-7 Sparty.

should not have been allowed play shouldve of blown dead but im sure dls will take it. these refs are horrible both ways.

Game has been WAAAYYYYY more competitive than Calpreps thought it would be…

EC runed stopped short, a penalty on the play…. they start on their 9.

Pass complete for 6…. 2nd-down pass thru the receiver’s hands….

Pass broken up… but a PI call. 1st and 10 on the 31.

Run gains 10, moves the chains…

Maybe so, I’ll have to watch the replay regarding that return.

anyway… now 2nd and 6 on the EC 33.

Long pass complete on the left sideline, first down on the DLS 30!

Run gets a couple…. 2nd and 8.

QB fakes an inside handoff, riuns around left end for a first down on the DLS 20.

BIG hole, right thru the middle! EC scores! Kick is good…. 21-14 Spartans. 8:36 left in the 3rd.

Short kicked muffe, but re-grabbed by the Spartan up man. 1st and 10 on the Sparty 35…

Blanche runs up the middle for a BIG gain…. on the EC 47.

Run gains 5…

Runner falls forward for 3…. 3rd and 2.

Run up the gut gains a first down on the EC 34.

Runner bounces off a bunch of tackles, gains 12 to the EC 19.

Another Blanch run, pilesdrives to the EC 12, 2nd and 2.

Run left strung out, 3rd and 2.

Run up the gut, he falls forward, 1st and goal at the 5.

Run knocked backward, may have gotten to the line of scrimmage.

Run blasts into the crowd, gets to the 1. 3rd down.

QB sneak, TD Spartans! Kick is good…. 28-14, 3:33 left 3rd.

Returner LIT UP on the 22!

EC on said 22 line…

Runner bounces left, gains a nice chunk to the EC 34.

Pass complete…. 2nd and less than 1.

Run middle…. no gain, 3rd and inches.

Nope, I goofed…. the chains moved on the previous play. so it was 2nd and 10…. and now 3rd and 5.

Incomplete pass, 4th and 5.

QB pinned back, nearlysacked…. but escaped for a first down! on the DLS 31.

Delay of game costs EC 5…

Run middle makes it 2nd and 11 as the 3rd quarter ends.

Run to the left gets nuthin’. 3rd and 11…. wait a sec, a hold on EC. Now it’s 2nd and long.

Pass complete for 7 or so…. 3rd and 14.

QB SNOWED UNDER for a sack! 4th and very long.

Punter on…. Very well-covered return…. Sparty has it on their own 12.

Run left gets nuthin’.

Bad snap, QB has to try and run…. no gain.

QB escapes a hit rush, hits a man for 17 to the 29. First down.

Run gets 10, moves the chains…

Another big run chunk, but flags down. Annnnd…. a facemask gets it to the EC 35.

Run left gets maybe a yard…

QB fakes a handoff, keeps it for a few yards…. 3rd and 6.

Run off right tackle gets a nice chunk, 1st down on the 25.

6:08 left in the game.

Dive play gets nuthin’ but bruises.

Handoff to #21…. scores… but a flag down. Holding, 2nd and 20.

QB keeper gets 5.

Run left, he has a seam, but it closes quickly. 4th and about 11.

Looks like delay of game…. the refs have been delayng the game all night.

Anyway, 4th and long on the EC 22. and now a time out.

Huge rush, but the QB answers with a middle screen, guy gets to the 11. First down!

Holding, 1st and 22.

Run off right tackle gains a nice chunk, 2nd and 16.

Run right again, right into the house! Kick is good…. 35-14. 1:49 left.

I just now looked at the replay... The FG miss was caught on the 1. So he ran it back 99 yards, not 100 like I said earlier, and the refs called the play correctly.

But I agree, the refs were pretty bad... Not so much on what they called and didn't call, that's almost always debatable... but the fact they had to pow-wow after just about every play, killing any flow the game might have had.

agreed. there’s no way a game should have almost all run plays and take over 3 hours to play with no serious injuries. absolutely ridiculous.

i thought the kid stepped on the goal line after the fg attempt watching it live but if you saw the replay I take your word for it. lucky break for dls either way.

What it really comes down to, is that FG was probably a good bit out of their guy's range. They probably should have chucked it into the end zone and hoped.

Even though DLS could have PI'd on purpose, that would have allowed an untimed play.

agreed 100% percent. bad call by ec not knowing there kickers range better. plus it was into the wind, the wind always blows away from the hill at ec.

There was practically zero wind last night. Besides, the weather sites I just checked say the typical wind direction there is from the West most of the year. His kick was probably with the wind, whatever tiny bit of it there was. Maybe that tempted the coach to gives the kick a try. In the replay, I noticed also that the snap was a bit high, so maybe that's why the kicker didn't "get all of it".

........absolutely, my inlaws live on Asbury across from the school and I can guarantee you will find the majority of back yard, neighborhood patio wind shields facing west to block the fog & wind rivers flowing towards the hills (east) from under the GG. 🤣
