Dougherty v. Dublin near-upset?

I guess its not like D3 is chopped liver. It's probably actually the third best bracket, behind the Open and D1.

But I'm the type of person where I would want to play the most challenging schedule that I feel like my team can handle. I feel like Branson could have handled being a 5 or 6 in the Open.
the top half of bracket they match up better than all... but st pats or st joes looming.... gonna be tough to beat either of them

The case for Open was better last year when they "crossed the bridge" to play a little tournament in Gridley.

If they weren't in Streak's top 20 in NorCal for most of the year, i didn't expect them to be top 6 NCS.

Branson solid team but we saw them lose in NCS last year.
If they win d3 they will get their chance to play the big boys.
No quality wins compared to the OPEN teams. Look at the schedule that the open qualifiers went through .. Not even close.

agree on the schedule

disagree that you saw them lose in NCS last year. You saw them lose in NorCal D1 finals.

They got outscored in the 2nd OT 19-2 game over.
Look at the video It was 78-73 with a minute and change when the bogus Beasley foul occurred. Then im sure it was chasing 3’s ,fouling and FT to make final margin

Ok take the so called bogus foul away Dublin had the ball up 5 with a min to go who is to say they would not have scored on that possesion to push it to 7 anyway?

No it was an offensive foul with 1:53 . Maybe Daugherty scores and it a one possession game with Beasley still in the game

we need the whistlers mom to come give us some insight

Can't comment without seeing the play. However, when I see comments like "let it slide" or "let the players decide", experience tells me the player did something that violated a rule. Of course officals make mistakes or interject themselves unneccesarily, but coaches/parents/fans must also hold players accountable for their actions.

If you find a clip, then happy to give my two cents.

It's absolutely unreal to me that San Leandro made it over Branson

If they weren't going to include any D3 or D4 teams in the Open, then why create the Division in the first place?

Disappointment doesn't begin to describe my feelings about this. Makes me feel as a D3, D4, or D5 team that there is literally NOTHING you can do to make the open!

Campo is D3. 1,350 student public school

Campo was moved up to D2 due to competitive equity. They were D2 this year.

I believe enrollment is no longer the only factor for divisions....which is a good thing. Im not sure but I think you can to petition to move back, so if your D2 and want to move back to D3 you have to petition the NCS and explain why.
